I am finally eating dinner at the Rose and Crown, and saw that they no longer list Cottage Pie on the menu. It is on the kids menu. Do you think it's possible for an adult to order it?

We were there in May and it had been changed to Shepherd's Pie. It was made with lamb instead of the ground beef that they used in the Cottage Pie. It was okay, but not as good as the Cottage Pie.

Thanks for pointing it out on the lunch menu. I was looking at the dinner menu. I'm hoping I can still get it in the evening!

I'm definitely wanting beef, not lamb! I know, I'm a ninny.

When we had lunch at R&C in April, they no longer had the cottage pie on the menu. They had just changed the menu the week we arrived!:sad1:
Did have some very good "bangers & mash" , but I really wanted to try that pie.

My DH was totally bummed that it was off the dinner menu for our trip this past June. Another poster had mentioned that they asked for it off the kids menu but our waitress would not do this ( we were not on DDP btw). Oh well, I guess it just depends. We had a great time and meal just the same.:flower3:

I love how you all think Cottage Pie is such a great thing to have-if you'd lived in our house as a kid you wouldn't be so keen:eek: However I have always wanted to try your meatloaf cos I hear it mentioned on TV shows so much and I guess for you guys its just normal food-vive la difference! ;)
