Costumes?

I always see little girls running around in their princess costumes and little boys dressed as captain hook or peterpan. I really want to do this with my kids! I was thinking of buying my dd a costume from home because the ones at WDW are ridiculously expensive (i've seen them at about $60 and up).

Did anyone else do this here and what is your experience with it? Did the kids enjoy it? Did you find it a pain to bring in your luggage? Did it bother them while they were at the parks and how long did they wear it for? Did you bring a change of clothes for them?

What are some ideas for boys?

my girls will be going costumed to their breakfast at CRT - but we're not buying costumes, they'll be wearing their bridesmaids dresses from my sisters wedding a few days earlier (they are sooooo princess!)

The only costumes i can think you'd really have problem with are boys all in one suits for the bathrooms- my DS5 really struggles with these (although he also has dyspraxia so dressing & other fine motor skill in general causes a challenge for him)

I'd take a pair of shorts and t-shirt into the park too for each kid just in case.
