This may be a little early but My family and I are going to be going to MNSSHP this year and I have a question about my costume.

Word has it that there will be signs up that say if you are wearing a costume that scares children you will be turned away. My friend and I want to theme our costumes and since we are both BIG theater fans we decided on a Wicked theme. (if your not familiar with the show it is basically the Wizard of Oz from the wicked witch's side). I decided I want to be the Wicked Witch (Elphaba) but would that be considered scary to young kids? I will be completely green ... how bad is that? would I get turned away?

Oh and is 21 too old to dress up.... i dont want to feel foolish if i m the only adult dressed up!
Thanks

We're going for the first time this year and from what I read, 21 is not too old. I guess you need to decide if you want to be this character bad enough to be turned away for it. You can ask opinions here but the only one that will count is the CM who will or will not let you in. It would be sad to miss out for that reason.

I think the CMs are looking more for Freddy Kruger, Jason type costumes than Wicked Witch type-I have seen a woman in a previous year dressed as one of the witches from Oz-stripey socks one?

I wouldn't think it would be a huge issue, after all, Malificient is pretty green also!!! But, keep in mind how hot/humid it can get in Florida. I'm not sure I would want to be 'green' in that heat/humidity. My face might run!!! :lmao:
