My DD has tons of dress up costumes and 4 disney parks costume that she loves to dress up in but, I don't know what to do with them all. They were in a box, but that got to small. They were in a hamper but that was to small. I have her 4 disney parks costumes hanging up in my clothes but that is taking up so much space! What do ya'll do for a costume wardrobe/closet?

we put the 'play' ones in a plastic storage tub.

I have a kid size coat rack and just hang them all on it w/ hangers.

We have a playroom, and I am thinking about installing hooks in one corner of the room and hanging up my kids' costumes on those. Right now her nice costumes are in her closet, but they do take up a lot of room.

DD10 and DS7 have lots of costumes for playing dress up. Their cousins and friends love comming over here to use all the dress up stuff ( both boys and girls and most are older than my kids). Our dress up stuff moves betwen a large toy box, or a dresser in the play room and the playroom closet. We actually use the dresser drawers for all the accessories and wigs.

The trundle under DD's bed. That's where we keep all the clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. It holds everything. I will say though that most of her costumes are after Halloween clearance so there's not any expensive or delicate clothing.

We just use big Rubbermaid containers & stash them in a basement closet. DD9 & her friends still love to pull them out & I am positive they would never willingly hang them. It's easier to just pile them all in the bins & they root around for what they want anyway. I love seeing them all dressed & acting goofy!

I bought an extension rod (the kind that hang down from the main rod so they can reach it) and hang most of them in DD's closet. When they are up high, she does not use them. When they are down low, she does. I use a plastic drawer thing for accessories - shoes, hats, etc.

In our last house I put up one of those plastic shelves with the rod underneath and hung them there with hats and stuff on the shelf.

I do find I have to hang the things back up every so often.

We hung a shower curtain compression rod in the basement/playroom and have them all hanging by hangers. Keeps them out of the way and off the floor but the kiddos still have access to them.
