Costco Water

I read somewhere (can't find where) that packages sent to the resorts are now being charged a fee.

Can anyone confirm or deny this? Especially to the POR?

We head out in 13 days, and I was planning on ordering some water this week, but will it be worth it if there is a resort fee?

Whatcha think?

We stayed at the BC in June and were charged $20  to deliver two cases of water. They had it stored at some sort of storage facility that I could have walked to pick it up. It was quite a walk from our room--I could not possibly carried two cases of water back to our room. I have seen people post that they were charged $5.00--I must admit I was a little shocked that they charged $20. It was still cheaper than $3.50 at the parks.

In 2007 we stayed at the Poly, the water was stored in a room behind the front desk and there was no charge.

We stayed at OKW in June and were not charged for our case of water from Costco.

I also had three cases delivered to my room at ASMusic and they did not charge....I did give them a $4 tip though.

We were going to get a case of water this past trip - but decided against it - we were going to taxi to the store (told it would be about $10).

Anyway, after purchasing two of the resort mugs, we really didn't need it - our room was virtually 3 doors down from the food court - and my son loved filling them up and the water from the drink station tasted great. We would fill our empty gatorade bottles (brought from home) up with the resort mug water and bring that into the parks each day or pop into the fridge for later. This really saved us alot of money and it was easy to do.

We had two cases delivered to POFQ 3 weeks ago and no additional fees. With the refillable mugs and free ice water at all Counter Service restaurants, we only really needed one case. We also filled our misting fan with ice before we left for the parks. Costco in the Orlando area ships via USPS so the water ends up in the office area rather than Bell Services. Be sure to ask when you are checking in...our water arrived before we did and all info was entered into their computer.

Could someone please tell me how to fill out the order form correctly so it gets to the resort and they hold it for me until I check in? Thank you!

This worked for us and it was waiting for us in the office area, not Bell Services.

I just called Pop Century. The woman I spoke with said there was NO charge to hold packages for me. I also asked about whether I could send something through USPS (someone another thread said it would end up somewhere else besides the hotel) and she said I could. She told me to write my name, arrival date, and reservation number on the package as well as Pop Century's address of course.

There is a thread now...budget board, maybe?...lots of people reporting Costco no longer delivers water to hotels. Their orders are getting canceled...make sure your order is being delivered (follow up w/ Costco by phone to double check??) before counting your chickens, so to speak...I'd hate to count on a delivery that never came. Some disers are getting cancellation emails while others are not. They're just checking the status & finding out that way.

I just got back two weeks ago and I had water delivered from Costco. I ordered it on the Tuesday and it was delivered on Thursday. We stayed at ASMu and there was no charge for accepting the delivery. In fact they had taken it to our room before we even checked in. Really nice!!!
