Costco Warehouses

Does anyone know if there is a Costco warehouse in Orlando and if so has anyone used it, and how does it compare price wise with say Walmart? I only joined through work today so don't even know how the prices are in the UK. I believe I will be able to use any of the warehouses worldwide.

I seem to recall seeing Costco near the Florida Mall but can't be sure.

Any assistance appreciated.

Hi,

Yes there is a Costco in Orlando. I passed it on Orange Blossom (just south of Florida Mall on the right hand side) Didn't go in though as I didn't have my card with me.

A collegue at work has been to a Costco in Arizona and says it is pretty similar to UK. They will honour the UK cards there.

I am planning a shopping trip to check it out in Feb so will report the results on my return.

No need to thank me.....I'll do anything to provide information for the Dis.

There are more Sam's Clubs than Costcos over here. It's basically the same thing. Wal-mart owns the Sam's Clubs. You can probably find everything you wanted to know at their website.

I have been to Costa in Orlando many times and its great, things are cheaper than here. I look at it this way you pay the same in dollars as you do in pounds. Most things are in bulk buy thats way it works out cheaper.

We went into Costco on OBT, it was a huge store.
We bought some 2 way radios.
Payment options are the same as the UK stores except they will accept American Express cards.
The petrol was much cheaper there too.

Pretty much as everyone has said ~ the layout was almost identical to the Costco at Lakeside here One thing we did notice was the Alcohol Section was in the very centre of the store and was caged (like the cigarettes are here). We picked up a couple of CD's. Prices pretty good.
