Costco recall on Xmas lights

I just got a "voice mail" type of phone call from Costco stating that their blue and white only LED type lights are to be unplugged immediately as may have electrical problems!

We spent hours and hours putting up these %^$# lights about a month ago when the weather was a lot nicer than it is now! And because my DH loves blue........that's what we bought and now they're recalled! Ughhhh!

For those of you that bought them they are the 3 pack lot and they said only the white and blue have the potential problem. They also said to bring them back to Costco and they'll refund you your money! But now what do we do for Christmas lights! I don't have the original boxes nor do I have the receipts!!!

Have any of you bought these lights too?

We have them too. Dh is going to take them down tommorow. If its a recall then it shouldnt matter if you have the boxes or the reciepts. Two things we dont have either. They are the ones recalling them they cant expect people to have the reciepts. Plus if they knew that you purchased the items by calling you then they can look up your purchase on thier registers.

Sara did you also get a call from them? I tried calling the 1-800 number but they aren't in until Monday. I'd hate to take all of these lights down from outside only to find out that this isn't true? And we live about 1 hour away from the nearest Costco.

Now we have to re-do all our display outside....although DH says no way! lol

Anyone else hear anything about this recall?
