Costco Car Rental

For a non-Disney trip I had booked a car rental through Costco. The flights got changed and when I went to re-book a car and did some more reseach outside of Costco, I found that Costco had the highest rates out there. By at least $100+. Has anyone else seen this recently?

What are you comparing them to? Booking refundable rates directly via the rental car companies themselves? If so, Costco should be either slightly cheaper or no different at all.

If you're comparing them to another form of discount, well, discounts can vary & Costco isn't guaranteed to be the cheapest, so you should shop around. Make sure you're comparing apples to apples: Costco rentals are always refundable, so make sure that what you're comparing them to is also refundable.

The cheapest refundable rental I ever received was via a special deal from Undercover Tourist (talked about it in the March Car Rental thread on the Transportation board), not Costco. I have found that Costco is cheaper than AAA.

Good point. Refundable. I compared Costco to National. It was the corporate discount that saved money. Regular rates were about $450 higher.
