Cost to renew annual passes for non-resident?

Right now it's a set price as people have posted. They can go up at anytime. But right now for preferred renewal is like $171 with taxes included. It's been that way for about 2 years now.
Thank you! That is quite a bargain.

So if I know someone that is about to renew their pass they can essentially get me a pass at the renewal price right?

Wrong. It's for a pass that has been active for a year at the regular price. Each pass or ticket is require a finger print scanner.

But a person that's renewing a pass can order another pass at a discount rate? I don't know why you mention about the finger print scanner i'm not even talking about that

Wow, I think you're really confused. It is simple. This thread was a question about a RENEWAL. They've had their pass for a year and it is about to expire. They want to keep it another year. The price to add another year to the pass they already have is the $170 w/taxes included.

If you don't already have an annual pass, these prices are not for you THIS YEAR. If you choose to buy an annual pass at full price and use it for a year, then you can RENEW at $170 next year.

You cannot order another annual pass at a discounted rate at any time. Only the activated pass that has been used for a year can add an additional year at a discount. You in fact use the original ticket the following year if you renew. The one that has been linked to you by finger scan.

Hope that helps. :goodvibes

Not to sound mean but you can't be serious?

I don't know anywhere when there is a membership renewal discount that more new people can join at a renewal price.

Now there are promotional rates but that's a whole other discussion.

Thank you for not trying to be mean but maybe I wasn't asking the question correctly but how else are you going to learn something if you don't ask. Now I did read that ap holders get discount on tickets maybe its tickets at the front gate but I did read it on this forum. I'll direct my questions to Universal Orlando next time but thanks for your time

Yes, AP holders get a discount if they purchase multi-day tickets at the gate. Those discounts are 10-15% depending on what pass is used.

You seem to be confusing discounts on tickets with discounts on annual passes. There are no discounts on annual passes for non-Florida residents except for when they renew their pass for a subsequent year. You can only get a renewal discount if you had an annual pass the previous year.

You can, however, get discounts on tickets in many ways. You can get someone with an AP to purchase a ticket for you at the gate, you can purchase your ticket through the Universal site online, or you can purchase through a 3rd party like Undercover Tourist.

Thank you for explaining it and not being rude. For a minute I thought I was on a Disney World thread .

Everyone did their best to answer the question they/we thought you were asking. It really did seem, towards the end, that you were wanting to have the friend renew their ap and the.et you use it. That's why fingerscans were brought up, because you could not use someone else's ap, since their finger scans are always associated with the ap. It is truly what it sounded like you were asking at that point.

I don't think anyone was trying to be rude. I think other posters just assumed that you knew what annual pass renewal meant and so your questions were misunderstood. We're really not a rude bunch on this forum.

Yep, we try to be very helpful. But I don't know anywhere that you can get multiple renewals at a discount from one persons membership. This excludes promotions. That's why I thought it was turning into a joke or troll. So I'm sorry if I offended you, my apologies.
