Is anyone here a member of Weight Watchers?
I joined last year (right about this time) and remember paying less than $35 or so a month for the meetings and on-line access.

I just went to their website and now the monthly price is $69.95 a month? Crazy!

If you select Meetings + Online Plus on the website and then Join Meetings, you will see the price of $44.95/month. This is the current lowest prices. This will give you etools and access to the app as well as the meetings. The Total Access gives you a coach too, I believe. Not necessary if you are attending meetings! Good luck! (BTW...the program is substantially changing in the next few months)

That would be quite a deal! I re-joined 2 years ago with a deal for Lifetime members who no longer were in goal range and paid $11/mtg - no online access offered.

Now I'm on the "commitment plan" - paying $130 upfront for 10 mtgs/ no online.

Worth it to me as I need the accountability and commitment!

I joined a few months ago and it cost something like 30 for the on-line access only. I was taken aback and quickly learned that their system wasn't working (didn't loose a single pound no matter how close I followed their points) and I could get the same support from friends and calorie counting for free on Myfitnesspal. I dumped them and started doing MFP and am seeing better results.

Thanks for the info. I wanted to attend the meetings, but didn't need the coach, but didn't see a way to do what I wanted.

Ughhh. Changing again. I understand change is good. My favorite WW plan was about 6-8 years ago.

I also am a member of MYP, but am feeling stuck lately and think the accountability of showing up weekly for a meeting and weigh-in will help me get back on track

The meeting sounds like it may be beneficial to you. I didn't do meetings so I think that is the reason I didn't find it worth the money.

Do you remember HOW you go to that price?

I've been a member for quite a while. I think I was grandfathered in at that price. I pay with the mostly auto charge to my credit card. I think it is maybe $42.95 for the plan I have now. I think maybe the really expensive price you found is a new thing they have where you have a personal coach that you can correspond with online.

As of yesterday there are a few new offers out there that include a free month (when you buy a monthly pass) and things like that.... so look around before you pull the trigger! And YES, the plan is changing to some degree.... but don't let that stop you from joining now.... and hopefully with things getting "new and improved" later this year you will have something to look forward to!! You'll get to be in on the ground floor of the new stuff! Best of luck with starting your new WW journey!.....P

I re-joined this past April and I find that weight watchers is the only thing that works for me personally. There is something about counting points and having someone else weigh me each week that just works for me. I am down 30 lbs and still loving the program. I have a long way to go but I have accepted this time around that this is my way of life if I want to be healthy.

ETA: I forgot to answer your actual question (sorry about that)! I pay $44.95/month and that gives me weekly meetings and online access. It is an automatic payment out of my checking account. I do not have the personal coach. Hope that helps!

I just joined (again) last week. I did the 10 week commitment plan for $130.00. I am a bit frustrated as apparently I live in a "non participating" area. In that they do not participate in any of the WW promotions, such as Meetings and Online Plus. I have a question - having done this, should I be entitled to etools? I saw online that you would get an access code from the inside of my week 1 book or from the leader. Does that give access to the WW app? I have the WW app on my phone but it is very basic and generic. I have another points tracker app that I am using (My Score Plus), but I was hoping to use one that I could scan the bar code like the WW one and track it better. Plus I am worried that the My Score Plus is not accurate as when I was entering my height, weight and age, the daily points was not the same as WW.

Yes, you should be getting e tools with your membership. I know it's too late for you but ebates was giving 5 or 10 dollars back. You could also check with you insurance company for any rebates or credits upon completion. Mine gives $150 a year.

I'm currently a Lifetime member after losing 105 pounds over two years. I will say having a monthly cost was really motivating for my frugal mind - I wanted to get the most for my money! My husband does online only and pays $19.95 ... not sure if that's still an option, but for him it's worth it to have the eTools access.

He knows that online-only members never get Lifetime status, yes? So he will always pay? If he wants Lifetime have him join meetings when he's about 10 lbs away from his goal. Once he's at goal and maintains to get Lifetime, it's just one meeting a month that's required and he'll get his etools voucher.

Yes, we know that. I'm a lifetime member so I know the ropes. He hasn't gotten close enough to his goal weight to start making the move to meetings. He has more to lose than I did.

Does anyone know when the new program starts? It seems like everytime I begin the new program starts 2-3 weeks later. I would rather just wait until it kicks in this time
