Next week we will be at WDW! :goodvibes I just have to have Tonga Toast one morning. :) We are staying at Pop so I wanted to do breakfast at Poly and then head to MK. The easiest way to accomplish this is just get a cab over to the Poly. How much should a cab trip from Pop to Poly run for me and DS?

Why pay for a cab? Take the bus to MK and then the Monorail to the Poly, might take longer or not depending on how long it takes to get the cab but it is free.

Last October I had to take a cab from the Shades of Green to POP and it cost me $15. Shades of green is accross the road from Poly, and I would think cab fare would not be very different.

I was in a rush to meet someone at POP and couldn't afford the time to walk to Polly, get on monorail to MK then bus it to POP. But, if you have to time to do something like that then great. :)

I took a taxi from GF to Pop just over a week ago on May 22nd. It was my DD's birthday and we had spent the morning at Epcot then took the monorail to the TTC and walked to the Poly then monorail to GF for tea. After tea I thought it would be quicker to just take a taxi back to Pop for a quick swim and shower before we went to CP for a birthday dinner with Pooh.

I paid $15. and change - under $16 before tip.

I took an early bus to MK for an 8am breakfast when I was staying at POFQ in early May and the bus driver asked if anyone had a breakfast ADR at the hotels. I think he would have brought folks right to the hotel.

Why wouldn't you just take the bus to the TTC and walk to the Poly from there? It really is a lovely (and fairly short) walk!

Not sure the busses run to the TTC anymore, it's not a major hub anymore.

Hmm :scratchin, the buses for the MK drop you off at the TTC and you have to take the monorail or the ferry to the MK - right? That is where they took us in December. Is there a bus stop directly at the MK now :confused3

There is a bus stop right near the MK. This is for Disney Resort busses only. Its over to the left as you exit the MK. Quite an extensive complex of bus stops with televisions even.

Nope, wrong (sorry to be the bearer of 'bad' news). Resort buses go DIRECTLY to the Magic Kingdom - no stopping at the TTC.

Well, I know I can take the bus to MK and then monorail to Poly but we want to get to Poly very early. That's why I thought the cab would be best for us.
Thanks for your help!

The cab would definitly save you time.

However, the early morning busses for the MK area start before 6:30AM. And yes, the drivers would drop you off right at the resort if they have time (and early in the morning they USUALLY do.

Well, that certainly gives me something to think about! Thanks for the info!
I see you're from the Cleveland area. Have you ever been to one of our NE OH DIS Meets? If not, you really should! :)

I will be taking taxi's on our next trip just to save time. It will just be me and the 3 kids. princess:

On Mousesavers website they have listed under transportation the name of a couple of cabs. I usually call Yellow Cab and ask them an approximate fare, hey will put you on hold for a minute and come back with a price.
