Cost of Sunscreen at the Resorts?

Does anyone know how much sunscreen is (approximately) at the resort stores and what SPF they have available? DS5 & I are going to WDW on Monday, and since DH is staying home, I'm trying to carry on since it's a shorter trip, I won't have help dragging a huge suitcase thru the airport and keeping up with DS, and I really don't want to pay $50 in luggage fees! I have 3 travel size 50 SPF packed for DS and 2 30 SPF for me, but if the price of sunscreen at the resorts isn't ridiculous, I'll take less sunscreen and have room for other liquids. We were at WDW in May and I meant to look at the sunscreen selection myself, but of course I forgot.

TIA!

As I recall, it was about double what I paid for sunscreen at home and the bottle was much smaller. I pay about $8-10 for a large bottle, depending on the brand, so it was about $15-$18 for a smaller bottle at WDW.

Was just there and know exactly what the sunblock costs! They charge $14.95 for an 8oz bottle. They have several varieties of coppertone available including spray and lotion. Spf ranged from 15 to 75. They had sport, baby and just regular kind. We ended up going off site to buy sunscreen at Walgreens because we thought the parks were to expensive and were shocked to find it priced at 13.95 even at walgreens. We bought walgreens brand for 10 something and regretted it. Worst sunblock ever. We ended up buying the 75spf coppertone from our resort the next day, worth every penny. We brought some down with us, but quickly ran out because we had 2 water park days requiring lots of sunblock.

Sent from my phone using DISBoards Ap, please excuse any typos and autocorrect mistakes.

Spray sunblock was $14 back in February. Just remember to remove it from your carry-on bag as TSA will throw it away! Disney sold a range of SPF's as well as after sun aloe if needed. Enjoy your trip :cool1:

Thank you very much! I think I will take 1 travel size of each as a back-up and buy a bigger bottle when we get there. $14 is way cheaper than $50 in baggage fees and DS prefers the spray kind better because it's quicker. Between that and the stick sunscreen for faces, we should be good to go! :cool1:

We got sunscreen sticks from Walgreens for our trip. They were small, almost like a mini deodorant stick. Very convenient for faces!

I found a 3oz. SPRAY sunscreen at Ocean State Job Lots... I was trilled by the find, as I too wanted it for carry-on. I had never seen that small a bottle of the spray kind. And it was only $2.50!
