I know my DS will eat free at the buffets because of his age, but what about at the sit down restaurants? Do they make you order and pay for a children's meal?

If you do order something for your child from the menu, of course they have kid's menus, yes you will be charged. If you want to avoid this you might want to think about getting something for yourself that your child would share with you otherwise your best bet is to stick with those buffets, good to take advantage of them while you can:)

Just any other place if you order it you will have to pay for it. At a buffet, kids under 3 eat "free" because it is in all is figured into the price. (let's face NOTHING is really free).

Michele, yes you will be charged but one thing that I have read before that people do is to order from the children's menu and split with their child.

I could be wrong and you might want to check but I have read before that people order from the children's menu cause they prefer the size of those portions.

Yes, if you order something from the children's menu, you will be charged, usually between $5 - $6, can get as high as $9 as some of the fancier restaurants. If you want to avoid this, just order something that you can share with your DS. You won't be charged then.

They won't care if you whip out a pb sandwich or tub of Cheerios, either. An 18 mo. old is still a baby. No one will expect you to buy him a meal.
