I had a manicure on the ship and it was around $30 or so. I was not happy with it, because I was there to relax and the entire time she worked on my nails, she tried to sell me all sorts of products. All I wanted was a nice manicure and to relax a bit, but that never happened.
I had a manicure on my cruise and it was great. The woman I had was excellent and she didn't try to sell me anything. It was my first cruise ever and it was the first thing I booked when I got onboard so my nails would look good for Palo. She had lots of great information about the ship and things to do for a 1st time cruiser. I guess it depends on who you get. If I were to go back, I'd also get a pedicure--those seemed even more relaxing!
I got one on my first cruise and it relaly wasn't the best manicure. It chipped in a couple of days, they pushed the products and man, were they expensive. With manicures $7 in NYC and $12 here in NJ, $30 was a little steep.
Give me a massage, the alpha capsule or the rainforest room.... but not another manicure -- I'll get one before we sail. <g>
