Cost of adding days with price increase?

If with my package I bought 2 day base tickets with the intention of upgrading some of my party to 4 day with park hoppers, do I pay the NEW prices for the tickets then - minus what the value is of my tickets I have with my package now?

I had been told if I wait until I got to the parks I could upgrade some of the tickets as opposed to all of them so that is why we were waiting.

Now the rates increased (darn it!) and I am unsure of my best course of action.
