What is the cost for upgrading a base ticket to a hopper and or water park plus ticket? Is it just the difference in price quoted on the Disney web site. So if a 5 day base ticket cost $199 and a hopper ticket is $234 would the upgrade be $35.

TIA

A hopper upgrade to any non-hopper ticket (1-day to 10-day) is $40.

Plus tax :)
And while adding the plus feature is a different price, it too is one price across the board (although the actual number of plusses depends on the length of your MYW ticket).
The non-expiring option, on the other hand, costs a different amount depending how many days your original pass is valid; and it doesn't matter if you add the non-expiring option on the first day you use your pass, or when there's only one day left - you still pay the appropriate full add-on cost.

Usually the Disney website doesn't list sales tax -- so you might want to make sure that is the price you are seeing -- price of ticket with sales tax. princess:

If you are purchasing the ticket in advance on the Disney web site, the actual cost to you to add the park hopper option will be a little less than $40. That is due to the advance purchase discount that will be applied to tickets of 4 days or longer that contain at least one option. You will be charged $40 to add the PH but you'll get a few dollars discounted off the base price so your total expenditure to add the PH will be a little less than the $40 the PH option costs.

As a quick note.... what you'll pay is the difference between what you paid for the ticket and what the ticket you want would cost. If you bought the ticket at a discount, you'll be credited with the discount price, not the full gate price. And if you bought it from a broker, you'll get credit for what the broker paid Disney, not what you paid the broker. Not usually a big deal, but a few dollars here and there can add up. :)

This is true for upgrades.

Adding options is not considered an upgrade.

No matter where you bought the ticket, you will pay $40 and $50 to add the park hopping and water parks fun features, respectively.

Thanks for the information

I will not be buying the base ticket but cashing in Airmiles points to purchase the ticket. I think we would want to add park hopper and water park plus to the base ticket. Thinking on getting the 5 or 7 day pass. l
