FYI,

With the current BRP discount I am receiving at WL Feb 20-25 of $166 per night, I am saving $203 per night over the MYW plus dining (room rate is $299 + $70 for 2 adults for the dining plan), I am happy with the BRP rates right now and feel the AP is a good value. We won't spend $203 per day on food for 2 adults. Any thoughts?

I agree and then add in DDE and it really makes sense for a deluxe. It changes a bit with a mod or value and then if you more in your party.

This is my 2nd trip with this AP.

My Best Rate Plan is saving me $50 a nigh x 6 nights = $300

Then I bought the $50 dinning card which gives 20% discount on all food from sit down places. We average $100 in sit down meals a day x 6 x .20 = $120 - $50 card = $70 savings.

So...$70 + $300 + $250 (no park hopper to buy) = $620

My AP has saved me $620 this trip alone, not to mention the $400 it saved me on my trip in April. I can honestly say, my AP has saved me $1,000.

We actually thought the AP rate plus DDE made more sense for us than a MYW package even when the free dining promotion was going on. It might be different at a value resort -- but at a deluxe the AP discount is too significant to pay rack rate just to get dining!

You note that the MYW with dining would cost an extra $203 a day and you won't eat that much. Add to that the fact that the best TS restaurants take two credits, instead of one, and I agree, you seem to have a better value with AP. Just get DDE and you'll be set!

I forgot to mention that we do indeed have the DDE, which more than paid for itself in September. So now, it's all gravy!

Doesn't that also include your ticket? Granted you wouldn't need them since you have an AP, but if you didn't have an AP (we aren't reupping outs this year), you would use the tickets. So the entire $203 wouldn't just be for dining.
