My family has been to Cosmic Ray's more times than I can count, but I've never tried their veggie wrap. I always go for the veggie burger because I just love their topping bar! But.. With the new buns they are using all over "the world," I'm not sure if I will be ordering the veggie burger this trip. SO! I was wondering if anyone could tell me what exactly is in the veggie wrap?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :goodvibes

what new buns? Please explain cause the only hope that I have for my picky 8 yo is burgers and if something is off with the bun then forget it.

BTW-are the veggie burgers any good there?

People have been mentioning for months now that the buns are crumbling apart while you are eating. I don't have first hand knowledge of this, though. More than likely I will have a veggie burger at least once while we are on our trip. Crumbly or not. I just hope all my toppings don't cover my hands. Blech!

As far as the burger themselves.. They are now just using the Gardenburger brand. That's fine, but I was a big fan of the Boca Burger while they had it. I just personally prefer the taste of the Boca. I always enjoy my veggie burger, but going to a place like Cosmic Ray's with their toppings bar really does make the burger so much better. :)

Have a great trip! :goodvibes

A little bump!

There must be someone out there that has tried this wrap before! :lmao:

I had three veggie burgers on my last trip, loaded up on toppings at two of them (last was at POFQ which doesn't have a toppings bar), and the buns were fine. When I read these complaints, I wonder what on earth everyone else is doing to their buns, frankly.

Actually, I think the whole-wheat buns have always been used for the veggie burgers, but the white buns used to be used for meat burgers. Maybe the meat burgers soak into the wheat buns and make them fall apart, which isn't a problem with veggie burgers?

I thought the veggie burgers there are excellent, but they are Gardenburger Malibu burgers (commercial-only type, similar to the Gardenburger California burger that you can buy in stores) and have big chunks of veggie in them. They're definitely more "veggie-style" than "meat-style" (I would say Boca burgers tend to be "meat-style"). I prefer veggie style, but some people don't.

*sigh*

Okay.. Last bump.. Hopefully, someone out there has had the veggie wrap at Cosmic Ray's and can tell me what is in it. :)

Please? Anyone? :worship:

I've had it both times I went to Cosmic Ray's. It's ok. It's not the best, but it was certainly acceptable, I did use a lot of stuff from the toppings bar to spruce it up. The biggest complaint I would have had was that it was a little dry. I don't feel like there are many options for vegetarians/vegans at MK, so I was happy to at least have the option. Here's a pic: (from my 2008 trip, apparently it wasn't memorable enough to take a pic on my 2009 trip with my nice camera!)

I just realized the OP was from 2010! Well, if anyone else is interested...but it looks like they have a new veggie sandwich, so maybe they don't even have the wrap anymore! :confused3

Thanks both of you. :goodvibes I did actually try the wrap that was available in February of 2010. Looks like it has been replaced by that new sandwich and I have to say that looks good! Hopefully, it will be around to try come 2012! :thumbsup2
