Correct me in my thinking on EMH + MK

We leave on Tuesday for our drive :moped: from Fort Lauderdale and it's the first trip for the kids. (SHH! they don't know ;) ) My first day I want to go to Epcot or MGM. I don't want to go to MK first and then the other days my DD5 :earsgirl: get disappointed that the other pars are not like MK. So on Tuesday (17) I was thinking of doing EP and on Wed(18) MK and ending with Thur(19) DS, for my DS2 :earsboy: and ending with Fantasmic. My question is that since on Wed it is MK EMH(I will not stay for EMH) do you think the park will be less crowded during the day because people will park hop later that evening for EMH(say after 8 or 9). What do you think? Or should I just change the days around.

Thanks everyone - As always :goodvibes

You ask a very interesting question and I am not quite sure how it will work with the crowds, I see two possibilities. First, as you suggest, people park hop to MK in evening. The other possibility is that now with the new MYW passes people are going to try to save money and NOT GET park hopping, in which case the morning would still be OK, but the late morning and afternoon might be miserable. Who knows how it's going to work out

Trends have pretty much shown the EMH park to be more crowded. I think the hopping being an additional money feature on tickets has affected this. I would think that it will be a busier day for the MK.

I'm not even sure there has been adequate time for patterns to develop. This is the first summer for the evening EMH so I suspect things will be watched closely.

Mid-May crowds are so low I doubt you will sense a big difference either way.

We were just there last week and found the crowds to be low, so it shouldn't really matter. With that said, we did go to MK on an EMH evening and it seemed busier at 9 when we were leaving than at any other point during the day. I think people with hoppers may hit another park and then show up for EMH.
