I was looking at the Wyndham Garden and I believe you have to pay to park at the theme parks when you stay there. Even though it is a Disney hotel in the sense you get EMH and 60 day FP+ ressies it is not considered a Disney hotel for other perks such as free parking at the parks. I am correct in this assumption?

Correct.

The Disney Springs hotels are getting EMH and 60 day FP+ as a new perk this year, but right now it is only 2018. They are not considered Disney hotels so you will have to pay to park at the parks.

They have their own bus system, they do not use the Disney system. You do not get MagicBands and you can not purchase the Dining Plan.
