Hi all

Has anyone stayed here - if so what did you think? We love Port Orleans, but have read some good reviews about this place and so we're thinking about agiving it a try Christmas 2010.

Have I read somewhere that it has a gym? Is that free to use? If it is that may swing it for us!

Thanks!:thumbsup2

Haven't stayed there as it was full when we wanted to go but yes it does have a gym (because it is also a convention centre) & it is free for residents.
SD:thumbsup2

Try this link for more info (Not sure it's worked-search on Coronado Springs and look out for forums written by 'Buzz2001). We stayed here last year and thought it was great. Some people don't like the size, but we didn't find it a lot more walking than AKL. If you're taking your own car you can park quite close to your room. They have 4 bus-stops if you're using Disney transport (we used both) we you can also use to get around the resort (the Downtown disney bus goes the other way round the loop to make it easier to return to your room also).

If you're on the DDP the CS restaurant is great-loads of variety and really good value.

We stayed last year at thought it was really nice. It seemed deserted there, but I think it's just due to the large size. The grounds are lovely and so is the architechure of the main lobby and the main buildings.

Not to sure about the food court type area, called the Peppe market, the prices were quite high considering what was there but each to there own reallty.

i have some pictures here if you fancy having a look

Always stay there - great place, pepper market food court takes a bit of getting used to but a good choice of food, fantastic bus service, large pool and slide...i could go on and on about the place but i have only got 3 weeks left before we go again:rotfl2:

We stayed here last year for a week and love this resort, it is on the large side but if your in a building near the pool or food court then your OK, the buses run right around the resort so you don't need to walk to the lobby for the bus.
The pepper market is one of our favourite places to eat and we even plan on making a few stops her next month. mmmm

I think the Pepper market is like marmite, You either love the place or hate it.

You defo hear alot of people who are divided about it, athough it would never stop me staying there, it isn't that important in my eyes.

HI!!:thumbsup2

We really liked Coronado springs - we found it very similar in layout to CBR but it seemed a lot quieter (more adult orientated probably due to being a conference hotel).

We also really enjoyed the Pepper Market, especially their freshly made pasta bar (I assume that is still there as haven't been for a few years now??:confused3) :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

we stayed there for our wedding and although a nice resort we didnt like it as it was two big,

the setting is lovely but we didnt find it disney enough and i think its geared towards conventions more

We loved CSR - so we're going back again this September, and are hoping to book for next September soon! Great theming, great bus service - never crowded either. I'm guessing this might be due to some guests being at CSR for conventions. I don't think we ever had to wait for a second bus to come after Illuminations/Fantasmic/Wishes, but all the other stops were really crowded! It is a big resort, but due to the location of the bus stops I found I did less walking than when I stayed at the smaller value resorts.

We're staying there this year, after staying at POFQ last time. I'm sure it'll be very different to stay in a much larger resort and i'm looking forward to visiting the Pepper Market :)

Loving all the reviews were staying at CSR this Sept/Oct - I can't wait!

They are also refurbishing the rooms they look really nice :)

out of the two i would prefer POFQ to CSR. we loved both, but sometime it annoyed me that the convention crowd were suited and booted and we were in flip-flops and shorts; the two just don't go together :confused3 both resorts have fab themes and the pools at both are great!
