Coronado Springs vs Other Mod Resorts

Hi,

I'm about to book my next disney vacation and was wondering why Coronado Springs is more expensive than the other moderate resorts? Is there a way around this if I call and book vs using the website? I have stayed at this resort a few times before and don't recall it being a higher price?

It might be because it used for more conventions, we have stayed there before and its one of our favorites it brings back a lot of fond memories.

They have Queen beds at the Coronado, some now at POFQ I believe as well.

While Rooms at Beach Club are Deluxe so are rooms at Wilderness Lodge, But Beach club rooms more Money

They have Queen beds at the Coronado, some now at POFQ I believe as well.

All POFQ rooms have queen size beds now except for those with kings. And, POR is in the midst of refurbishment and all rooms will have queen beds, except, again, those with king beds.

Coronado offers amenities you can't get at other mods like the Spa and fitness center... that may have something to do with the higher price...

We love the Cornado. We are heading back for a second time this June. I think it is because of the queen beds, spa,etc. It has more amenities than the other moderates but is not as much money as the deluxe. I think it is also the most convenient to all the parks. It is no more than 5 minutes to each of the 4 parks while the other moderates like POR (where we have also stayed) are much further to MK and AK.
