Coronado Springs vs. Deluxe

CSR is our favorite of all the Mods. Like others have suggested I would try to stay in the Business Class section if you are used to Deluxe stays and enjoy the amenities of Coconino Cove (the lounge) for Breakfast and night time snacks.

CSR is great! I think it has the feel of a deluxe, and they do have some dining options, that other mods don't have (like room service).

The main pool is fantastic, and the quiet pools are nice too.

I was there this past November, and the bus service was great.

They also have a spa and work-out room.

I have to say, though, POFQ is my favorite resort at WDW.

I just love the quaint feel it has, and the river boat transportation to Disney Springs.

Their food court is decent.

Never had a problem with bus service there.

Which ever one you choose, I think you will like.

We usually stay deluxe but decided to try a moderate, POR, last August and we were surprised to find out how nice it was. We are returning their in June with extended family because a moderate is much more affordable for everyone then our favorite deluxe resorts are.

We were at Disney last month and decided to take a tour of Coronado Springs, one of the few resorts were hadn't seen yet. I was impressed with all the dining options the resort had. We were also impressed with the live, 5 foot alligator we saw in the pond in front of the Cabanas section.

What section do you get if you book preferred and what section do you get if you book business class? Both Cabanas and Casitas looked like they were close to the main building. What I didn't like was how far some of the bus stops were from the buildings. You had to walk through the parking lot to get to the bus. Otherwise, it looked like a nice resort.

Preferred are in Casitas, which is over near the conference center, but not all that near the feature pool.

Business Class is always put in building 9B, which is across the bridge from El Centro, and closer to the feature pool.

The real magic of Business Class is the guarantee of 9B. I believe 8A-B and 9A are some of the best locations on property, but they are Standard and the most requested, so it's a bit of a gamble to request them. Someone's gotta end up in Ranchos.

Thanks for the quick answer. Since Casitas is near the convention center, is it usually filled with mostly convention people? I notice that it has three floors while the others have two. Do all of the buildings have elevators?

Well, there's not always a convention, so there's that, right? Even with a convention, it requires companies to be paying for Preferred Rooms for people attending. :rolleyes1

I think there are elevators in all the buildings, but I've only ever stayed BC.
