We will be staying at CSR for the first time next month (5/11-5/19). Which section do you consider to be the best location. We will have someone on a electric scooter that can't walk long distances, so something fairly close to the bus stop, pool, restaurants/food court is preferable. It's so hard to tell by looking at a map! :)

Thanks in advance!

Cabanas !!!

No question IMO. Can get a ground floor, you will be a couple hundred yards from the Main Building, and 100-150 from the Bus. And equal or closer to the main pool, and like each section at CSR, it has a quiet pool as well.

That's what I was thinking by looking at the map--maybe bldg 8A or 8B?

CSR has a wonderfully maintained thread with information on locations of each of the areas.

You can find some wonderful info on it.

Agreed, I think the Cabanas are ideal, and prefer ground floor as well. At the end of the day with tired feet, I'd prefer to not have to climb stairs. I think 8A, 8B, 9A, 9B are all good locations. Fairly close to El Centro, and not too far from the bridge going over toward the feature pool. Enjoy CSR!

Many thanks to all of you for replying. I especially love the pics you posted! Appreciative...

Just an FYI that Cabanas 9B are all business class rooms now. In order to get in this building, you'd have to book business class which is more than preferred.

I thought I read that somewhere. Thanks for the reminder.

We also prefer cabanas - our favorite is cabana 8A. As previously stated, cabana 9B is now business class. If you are willing to pay the extra, you are guaranteed to be in that building. Business class also includes continental breakfast and evening snacks with wine, beer and sangria, so it is not all about the location. ;)

Room locations are by request, unless you book business class (cabana 9B) or preferred (casitas 1, 2 and 3). I would request a ground floor for medical reasons, although CSR does have elevators.

If you want to be near the first stop picked up and dropped off to make sure the scooter gets loaded, that would be the casitas stop (actually bus stop #2 on the map, but the first picked up and dropped off when going to/from the parks). Casitas 1, 2 and 3 are preferred, but casitas 4 and 5 are not. They are not as close to the pool as the cabanas, though.
