We just came back and I can only say give yourself plenty of time.
The one thing on your list we did was breakfast at Crystal Palace @ 9:15am. We caught the bus(and we never had to wait too long for them) an hour before our reservation so we were at the MK at rope drop. I think that's best and if you go straight to CP and check-in you may get seated early, we did.

Hope all goes magically for you.

29 days left!
Ok CSR & WDW experts...

We have ADRs everyday for our trip. I need some help with times and routes to where we will be eating. We have 3 children 4,4, 9 months so it will take a little extra time.
The info I need is what route to get there, what time should we leave to arrive in time for reservations, and how long does it take to get there.

CSR to MK (Crystal Palace) for 9:25 am.

CSR to Disney Beach Club Resort (Cape May Cafe) ADR at 8:35 am.

AK park to GF for 5:45 pm dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Then GF to CSR.

CSR to Epcot 8:30 am ADR at Akershus.

CSR to Fort Wilderness Resort (Trail's End Restaurant) for 10:45am.

CSR to Hollywood Studios (Hollywood and Vine) for 8:35 am.

CSR to Contemporary (Chef Mickey's) for 9:20

Contemporary to Dowtown Disney just need the rout and how long it takes to get there.

Downtown Disney to CSR (in time for ME to airport at 3 pm flight is at 6 pm) what time should we leave DTD by and what route?

I hope that's not too confusing.

We got Mickey Mail about a week ago! I am SO excited!!!

Thanks!

They suggest you allow an hour to get to each reservation and we've found that pretty true.

If you're going from a resort to a park, you can take the bus, monorail, or boat (depending on where you're going). If you're going from resort to resort, you'll either need to get a cab or take a CSR bus to a park, and then transportation to the resort where your ressie is, from that park. It's not hard and we've done it several times. That's where your hour allowance really comes in.

I have some pool questions for all the CSR pros out there. We are heading down for our first stay at CSR in less than 2 weeks and DD is very excited about the pool. She is 3 1/2 and loves swimming but isn't crazy about going under. My questions are mainly about the water slide at the main pool....first will it be open during these cooler months and secondly are you allowed to ride down with a child as opposed to them going by their self? Thanks for the help!:)

The slide is open only while the lifeguards are on duty. I have never known the slide to close because of cooler weather.

No, unfortunately, you cannot go down with your daughter. You can, however, wait at the bottom for her.

We leave in two weeks and have two nights at CSR at the back end of a week at the AKL. Can we call over to CSR while we are at AKL to put in a room/area request or do they have to be faxed? Heck, for that matter we could just stop in while we're driving to or from DTD one day, haha. :)

Excellent! Thank you for the quick reply. I'll see if she is up to going down on her own if someone is at the bottom to get her. Thanks again!

I just booked my pre-cruise stay at Coronado for next Oct. :) I asked my 8 yr old son where he wanted to stay and he said, "that place where the cat spits at you going down the slide". LOL OK kiddo, you got it, the spitting cat. ;)

We are arriving for a conference in 2 days and I can't decide which building to request (if it's not too late to request something). We'll be attending meetings, but we'll be taking turns taking the kids (age 9 & 11) to the parks. We also want to be near the main pool. Which building is closest to the conference center and the pool? I know we can't have everything; I just don't want to mess up. How do I request a room? I saw somewhere that I should fax in my request, but I can't find that info anywhere. Any advice?

I have never quite heard the Jaguar slide described that way. I LOVE it. :rotfl2:

Rooms are assigned four to five days ahead of your arrival. Your best bet would be to call and see if you can have it noted on your reservation or ask when you get there. Cabanas 8A or 9A would be good buildings for your requirements.

Just back from 4 nights at CSR. Beautiful resort! We stayed in the far end of Casita 3...about a 4-5 minute walk to to the food court, and 2-3 minute walk to bus stop #2. We were right next to a quiet pool, and when we walked out of our 3rd floor room, we looked out over a long fountain.

The bus service was great. Never waited long for a bus, and travel time to all parks was very quick. Magic Kingdom was the longest...about 15 minutes.

Ate at Pepper Market 2x. There wasn't a huge variety, but what we had was good (quesadillas, burger, pizza). Took the food back to our room both times, so we didn't have to pay the 10% gratuity.

My only complaint was that I couldn't get a Mickey ice cream bar at the resort. We have stayed value on our last couple of trips, and I remember in the food courts, there was a freezer with frozen treats. Also an area where you could get Mickey shaped rice krispie treats, etc. I didn't see any of these at CSR.

Overall a great stay, and I would definitely go back!:)

Thanks for reporting back. I'm glad you found the CSR beautiful and that you enjoyed your stay.

I've seen the Mickey-shaped snacks (Minnie cookies, lollipops, etc) in the back of Panchito's. Never seen the Disney ice creams but never looked for them, either. From what I understand, Rix and Pepper Market are not owned by Disney and therefore do not sell Disney licensed products, refillable mugs being the exceptions.

We received our Magical Express mail yesterday!!! We are all so excited to be there for Christmas! My Wife found some great Disney Christmas window clings the other day for our room (at the All-A-Dollar store no less!), and we found a little tree at Target to bring for our room, with some little Disney tree decorations to go with it.

It's going to be great!

Thanks for the info. I need to go check out our local Dollar Stores for those clings.

I hope that means ours Mickey mail :woohoo:will be here soon

I'm doing a split stay Dec 4th-12th at CSR and YC. I got my DME pkts a couple of weeks ago, then got my big blue envelope for the CSR stay one day early last week. I finally got the big blue envelope for the 9th-12th part of my stay yesterday.

I apologize if this question has been asked before.
I'm going to WDW with a relative of mine, but we're booking the 2 rooms under 2 separate reservations. He is getting a regular room, while my husband and I want to get a king bed room. But we are hoping to at least get them in the same section of CS. Any recommendations? Do only certain sections have both types of rooms? Thanks for any help.

Can you tell me how strong the hairdryer is in the room? I have shoulder length hair and I don't want to spend an hour drying it. But I would also rather not lug my dryer down. I'm trying to conserve space. Thanks.

Every section has all types of rooms; you shouldn't have a problem. You can also call Disney and ask them to "link" the reservations so that they understand that you're traveling together.

And Kat - I couldn't stand it anymore! After reading that POR is getting ready for a renovation, and the number of posters who loved the resort but say that the rooms look old and run down, I made the switch.

We're going back to CSR!

I was able to book a king room (not necessary, but that's what was available), and keep my PIN discount! So even with the extra charge for the king, I'm still doing better than the public code! It's only costing me about $100 to change, and since I know that I love CSR, I can stop worrying!:banana:

I asked for Cabanas, so we'll see. We'll have a car so buses aren't an issue. Except to MK, maybe - I hate the TTC!

Just booked at CSR for Thanksgiving week (22-28) and got a special promotional rate of $762.78, that was $300 less then the online AP rate and only $75 more then POP:woohoo:
It will be a little weird for me because I just got back from staying there (11/1-11/5) for a conference. It will be tough but I guess I will manage:)

El Centro: As you arrive at Coronado Springs your first stop will be El Centro, the main building that contains registration, guest services, Panchitos gift shop, Café Rix, Rix Lounge, the Pepper Market and the Maya Grill. This building also connects to the Convention Center.

The most striking feature of El Centro is the fountain and frescoed domed ceiling in the main lobby. The registration area also features impressive high ceilings with exposed beams. Guest services can assist you with booking dining reservations (though we all know that most should be made 180 days in advance!) and theme park passes. Beside guest services is a DVC information booth.

Panchitos: The gift shop at Coronado Springs is called Panchitos, and it is located in El Centro. It features a sampling of WDW merchandise, some beautiful Mexican pottery and jewelry, and a small grocery section, including personal items, non-prescription drugs, batteries, etc.

Hello KATMark,
Thank you so much for helping those of us who are set on realizing our dream of visiting Coronado Springs. My family of 7 will be staying at CS around this time next year. We haven't been to WDW since 2007. I've had my heart set on staying at CS for years, but the family wasn't sold on the idea. Finally, we are all looking forward to the stay and during the winter holiday season to boot. We're all so excited. The exact date is a surprise for the children. They only know we're going, but not exactly when. Any suggestions on what are must at Coronado for children ages 11-3 years old?

thank you for your post, I'm so happy that you had great bus service. We are arriving soon and can't wait for our first CSR stay. I'm hoping they give us our request at Casitas.
