The buses continue to go to Winterland/Summerland until closing. We always go to WDW in December when BB closes at 5pm and frequently head over there for a game of mini-golf. Its seriously only a 4 min bus ride from CSR.

To correct another post above. It's not always the AK bus that goes to BB, sometimes its the DHS or Epcot bus. They pick which ever park is supposed to be the slowest that day and go with that bus. I can't comment on TL because its always closed for rehab in Dec when we go. I find this very irritating that they rehab at the same time every year. We've spent 3 of the last 4 Christmas at WDW for 14 nights at a time and never seen TL. We always have a blast at BB, but would be nice to try TL.

Thanks for confirming we can get there!! Will it be obvious which bus to get on? First time staying onsite, in case you cant tell. :)

Yes, just look at the sign on the front and side of the bus when it pulls up. It will say Animal Kingdon/Blizzard Beach or Hollywood Studios or Epcot. The Magic Kingdom and Downtown Disney buses won't ever get used to go to BB.

Please continue to ask questions most us are here for the purpose of helping others plan there trips. :)

Really? Every time we've been to WDW (a lot) it seems like it's the AK bus that goes to BB.

Hello!

How would you get to Fantasia Gardens mini golf course from the resort?

TIA

If you are using Disney transportation, take the bus to DHS and get the boat shuttle from there (it's to the right of the bus stops) to the Swan/Dolphin stop. Fantasia Gardens is across the parking lot from the Swan.

If you are driving (much faster) turn left from the front entrance of CSR and go a few blocks. There are signs. It's in the Epcot Resort area. I think the turn is by the Hess station, but don't quote me on that.

This is great, thanks a bunch!

I'm talking only about CSR, not sure about other resorts and we've only been there in December. However that's what's I've observed in our two 14 night stays the last two Christmas at CSR. It goes by the day. If its the AK bus its that bus all day. The next day might be DHS or it could be AK again. It's usually AK or DHS, but I have seen them use Epcot a couple of times.

It's possible we are both right. Even though we are WDW vets, we always go from mid to late December which is the busiest time of year, so maybe they do things different those 2 weeks to compensate for the crazy crowds.

Me too. No matter what time of year I visited it's always been the AK bus and I've been going to CSR since 1998.

Thanks for the info!! I will look for the one that says BB. Doesn't really matter to me what else it says. LOL :thumbsup2

My daughter (13) and I are booked at CBR currently. But I'm thinking about switching to CSR. Do you like CSR better for any reasons?

Well, you are asking this question on the CSR thread. ;)

I haven't stayed at CBR, but the reasons we choose CSR are queen beds, great bus transportation, a much better pool for teens (my DD13 ranks the CSR pool and slide only behind the Beach Club pool and slide), sliding doors near the vanity (much better for privacy than the curtain) and good dining choices. We haven't stayed at CSR since the Pepper Market started a buffet for breakfast and lunch - they are a great value on the dining plan since they count as one quick service credit. We usually eat dinner at Pepper Market or by the pool and enjoy both.

Agree with all of this. :thumbsup2

However, we were there on the dining plan and had the buffet lunch 3 times at the Pepper Market. We really liked it. We enjoyed our entire visit a lot. You can find a LOT of pictures I posted on the Resort Photos thread.

:rotfl: I figured I'd get some great CSR opinions. lol! I'm really leaning towards switching over my reservation tomorrow. The reviews sound and look great, everywhere I read! Thank you so much! :thumbsup2

I was just there for 14 nights in December and it wasn't always the AK bus.
I'm not saying your wrong, but maybe it's like you said that due to holiday volume, things were changed. I was just there in late May/early June and it was always the AK bus.

Just a few questions. Sorry if I overlooked these!

1. I booked a preferred room. Do you have a favorite preferred location?

2. There is still free wireless, right? I will have to do some work on our trip.

3. How late is the main pool and slide open?

4. I am not sure I understand how dinner works at Pepper Market. We'll need to eat there on our arrival evening. There is some sort of stamp card? We will be on the dining plan if that matters.

Thanks everyone! :goodvibes
