We just came back on 11/11 and were in Cabana 8b!
We faced the lagoon, but paid for a standard view room. We loved our location, short walk to Pepper Market and to the dig site. My kids loved the slide, it was gentle and fun! Wish we could have spent more time at the pool, but we did the parks every day.
The room was clean. We never got an animal towel but saw several in the windows. We were on the dining plan and used Pepper Market three times for CS meals and it was a great deal, after the first time we shared some breakfast meals... to much food. My kids loved ordering their own food and bringing to the table independently ages 9 and 12.
CSR is spread out, but it seemed peaceful after a busy day in the parks. The mornings were quiet as well. I personally had a little chuckle when I watched some of the conventioners walk with their notebooks to their morning conferences. Actually this was the only time we saw them, besides in Pepper Market. We used the buses and had no problems!! We transferred to the Monorail for O'Hana and were able to be in the front of the monorail, cool!!
Hope this report helps someone! I drove myself crazy making the decision, and it was a great choice.
