Coronado Springs Expert Needed

I have just booked a September trip for my family at a great AP rate. I would like suggestions as to which part of the resort to request. I have 2 rooms (in-laws are coming also). I would like a convenient location for my immediate family,which includes my 4 year old DS, that is definitely non-smoking. My in-laws need a smoking room. I do not want to be near the smoking section at all. Please help with locations-Cabanas or Casitas. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. This will be our 13th anniversary.

I'd request Cabanas 9B. They're close to the bus stop, Dig Site and the Pepper Market. We loved the location! Actually we loved the whole resort.

The cabana section seems to be the most desired section but is also the section with the least amount of rooms. CSR has implemented a new internal shuttle service to eliminate any of the long walks to and from any part of the resort and the main building making other sections just as desirable. Which building depends on what you are looking for and what you paid for, that said...

cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge. Most convenient.

cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Cabana rooms are mostly waterview rooms or non parking lot views.

ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a. 6b is also close to the Dig Site but obviously further away from the main building.

The casitas are close to the gym, spa and have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building. Casta 4 has a quiet pool.

Thanks everyone for the great info. I think that I will request the Cabana Section. I hope that we do not get put in the smoking optional building. This trip we will not arrive until @6:00 pm. What a great website Buzz! Thanks again.

We got Cabanas section when we stayed there last month. Loved it!
