Coronado Springs bus stops

This is from page 1 of the CSR FAQ thread

Theme park bus stops go in this order:
The bus stops are:
Bus Stop 2: Casitas
Bus Stop 3: Ranchos
Bus Stop 4: Ranchos and Cabanas
Bus Stop 1: El Centro

DtD and Exit buses
The bus stops are:
Bus Stop 1: El Centro
Bus Stop 2: Casitas
Bus Stop 3: Ranchos
Bus Stop 4: Ranchos and Cabanas

They go in this order to assist guests in getting to the main building and back to their village.

You know, call me slow but I'm still a little confused about how the buses work, even after reading the first page of the FAQ thread. In particular:

CSR Proximity to Parks:

Hollywood Studios - Bus Stop 6 (1st stop) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
AK - Bus Stop 8 (middle) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
MK - Bus Stop 10 (1st) - 10 min ride once leaving resort
Epcot - Bus Stop 7 (2nd) - 7 min ride once leaving resort
BB - Bus Stop 6 (middle) - 3 min ride once leaving resort

Information like this would be so much more helpful if it were put into context with an example. So if you wanted to get to Hollywood Studios from CSR, you can ONLY use Bus Stop 6, and no other Bus Stops on CSR would go to Hollywood Studios? Or take the AK information here. What does "(middle)" mean? If you wanted to get to Animal Kingdom from CSR, you go to Bus Stop 8 and it's the "middle" stop? Out of how many stops? Or does "middle" mean the AK bus is in the middle of the rotation of the different destinations a bus can go to from Bus Stop 8? Again, maybe I'm slow/take things too literally, but this information seems too vague to make any sense out of.

:confused::confused:

I second this. If someone could explain it that would be great as I'm headed to CSR in 12 days and would love to know how to get around the fastest when using the buses.

I agree that is quite confusing! I've staying at CSR on our two stays in Disney, there are 4 bus stops. Bus stop 1 is the last stop before the buses head to the parks... So if you want to go to DHS and you just ate breakfast at the Pepper market go to bus stop 1 just outside El Centro and wait for the bus, once it picks you up you are on your way! If you are in the Casitas section and Bus Stop 2 is closer than by all means you can go to stop 2 and take the DHS bus, its just going to stop at stop 3, 4 and then 1 before leaving the resort for the park. This is the same when you come back from the parks, the first stop will be stop 2 then 3, 4 and 1

The only change is for BB and DTD - those buses actually go in order of bus stops.

You are making it more complicated then it needs to be. What you quoted is not at the resort but rather at the parks.
At Animal Kingdom, CSR is bus stop number 8. It is around the middle of all the bus stops at Animal Kingdom. This is the bus you take back to your resort.
At Hollywood Studios, the bus stop number is 6 but is the the first one you come to when leaving the park.
At MK, again, bus stop number is 10 but is the first bus stop when leaving the MK. (This is great after a long day at MK!)
At Epcot, the bus stop number is 7. It is the second one you come to when leaving the park.
At Blizzard Beach, CSR is bus stop number 6. somewhere in the middle of all the bus stops there.

I think your confusion stems from having multiple stops at the resort. The only thing you need to know at the resort is what number you get on and off at. That will be the bus stop closest to your room. In the morning just go to your bus stop and wait for the bus to come that says whatever park you want to go to. Ex, if you want to go to MK and you are near bus stop 3. You get on a bus stop 3, ride to the park. When you leave MK you go to the CSR bus stop. They are both numbered and labeled so you don't really need to know the number at the parks. When the bus gets to the resort you get off at your bus stop number. Easy peasy.

Thanks SO much for clearing this up, everyone! Mickman0_3, too, for your private messages-I couldn't reply because I don't have enough posts. I love this board. ;)

THAT'S where the confusion stemmed from for me. I was wondering why CSR would have 10 Bus stops, but then again, from the way the information is presented:

Hollywood Studios - Bus Stop 6 (1st stop) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
AK - Bus Stop 8 (middle) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
MK - Bus Stop 10 (1st) - 10 min ride once leaving resort
Epcot - Bus Stop 7 Epcot (2nd) - 7 min ride once leaving resort
BB - Bus Stop 6 BB (middle) - 3 min ride once leaving resort

seems to suggest that those are bus stops at CSR, since the paragraph is specific to CSR, and given how big CSR is, it's an easy assumption to make.

THAT was helpful too, thanks for that. Again, the FAQ's bus route paragraph doesn't explain what "(1st stop)" refers to.

Here's how I re-wrote it for my own itinerary:

CSR Proximity to Parks (Bus Stop numbers refer to the bus stops at the parks, NOT at CSR):

Hollywood Studios - Bus Stop 6 @ HS (1st stop) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
For example: At Hollywood Studios, the bus stop number is 6 but is the the first one you come to when leaving the park.
AK - Bus Stop 8 @ AK (middle) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
MK - Bus Stop 10 @ MK (1st) - 10 min ride once leaving resort
(At MK, again, bus stop number is 10 but is the first bus stop when leaving the MK. This is great after a long day at MK!)
Epcot - Bus Stop 7 @ Epcot (2nd) - 7 min ride once leaving resort
BB - Bus Stop 6 @ BB (middle) - 3 min ride once leaving resort

IMHO, this wording is more specific and gives examples of how to read the information given.

You're welcome.
I know how you feel. I was very nervous the first time we stayed there with the multiple buses but it really was very easy. I can't wait to go back in October!
