After all your helpful info, I think I’m going to book Coronado Springs. However, since I’ve never been, any building requests or room requests I should make. I know they are just requests and not guaranteed but never hurts to ask. We are going in Feb 2019 with my 2 teenage boys. Thanks everyone! This board has been a lifesaver as I am so clueless!

It may be too early for you to decide what you would prefer. The tower being built where 9b used to be is supposed to be finished "early 2019 ," resort buildings are being renovated one or two at a time, and there are plans for a new restaurant in the middle of Lago Dorado. You may want to follow the Coronado Springs thread as people reports on the changes!

I really liked my stay at Coronado Springs!! I stayed at a convention, so I wanted to be as close as possible to the convention center. Ended up in Casitas building 4. It was a great location!

Your location request should depend on what you want to be closest to. The main pool is awesome and I think two teenage boys would really enjoy it. You could request Cabana 8A.

I really liked Casitas building 4 as the bus stop was right outside my building, the main pool was a quick walk and El Centro was super close.

We had two rooms in Cabanas 8A, and it was great location wise but we found that the rooms weren't cleaned particularly well. The bath in one room was dirty, and the tiles in the other bathroom were slightly mouldy. We also had a problem with the bed as the springs had clearly gone.

I'd suggest trying for one of the Casitas as they seem to be used more for the conventions so are more likely to be maintained to a higher standard than the other rooms. I'd also highly recommend trying for a water view room as the lake is beautiful to look out across in the mornings, so probably Casitas 5. Plus that would be close for the main pool but not too close.

Enjoy your trip :)

From what I have read on the Coronado Springs thread, we are going to ask for Ranchos 7A to be away from the construction, but I don't think that will be a problem when you go as it may be completed by then.
