Coronado or Port Orleans

As there is an offer with Virgin Holidays for next year we are trying to decide between the above 2 - although I think french quarters is also included - which is best and why? Nothing like getting over a holiday at WDW by booking another

We have just come back from a stay at POFQ and would highly recommend it. A lot smaller than the POR and not as busy either. Not stayed at Coronado so can't comment.

What was the transport like from this resort and do they have 2 sinks in the bathroom

Yes there was two sinks in the bathroom.
We used the boat to DD a few times and was a nice ride. We always have a car but one day,after going on the DVC tour we decided to get dropped off at DQ and caught the bus back. 40 mins in total to get back to the hotel, the bus stopped off at TL and then drove past POFQ to go to POR first were it made a lot of stops. Personally i am glad that we don't have to rely on disney transportation. This was the one and only time we have used disney buses and thought it was a long time for such a short trip.

CS is HUGE. It has more facilities than the rest of the mods - fitness club etc but I think there's only one sink. Only mod with conference facilities - that could be an advantage (they may not use the pool so much) or a disadvantage. Distances can be a challenge as the lake ends to get in the way - you have to go around it!!

Love POR. We were transferred there when POFQ was being refurbished a few years ago. Boat trip to DD an advantage. Pool in POFQ seems to appeal more to children than POR.

CSR!! It has less rooms than POR and more importantly, it doesn't share transportation with another resort. It also has a better pool, spa, salon, tanning beds, steam room, full menu room service and much more.

Having stayed at POR and CBR and visiting FQ I would say FQ as it is quieter .POR is lovley but we had a room quite a way back .I loved the beaches at CBR but loved the FQ pool.All great hotels but preferred CBR overall.Not tried CSR but looks lovley.

Stayed at coronado last year and just came back from POFQ this year Out of the two i would choose POFQ, it has cuter theming, a more friendly atmosphere, its more compact, everything is a short walk from your room, i just preferred the character and feel more. Coronado, while beautiful in its own way, could annoy you if your room is far from El centro, and the foodcourt could get very busy, the waits for food to be cooked were crazy sometimes. coronado had better bus service as you are not sharing with anyone, while with POFQ you go round riverside as well and this can really add to your journey, as well as making the buses busier. if the pool area is important to you, then Coronado wins here, the pool is much bigger and the slide and playground are excellent. Coronado has one sink in the room, POFQ has two. the rooms are exactly the same dimensions, but i thought the room decor at POFQ was much nicer. POFQ has the better scenery.
Eeven with all the points made above, i would still choose POFQ for its intimate feel, pretty scenery, better food court, and wonderful atmosphere.

Just come back from CSR and stayed at POR in 2005 and although CSR had it's good points, buses were quiet, very beautiful if we went back to a mod it would definately be POR
