It's down to these 2. We love the pepper market and will def want to eat here but we've never been over to CBR.
Which should we choose? help me decide.

When are you going to WDW? The main pool at CBR is closed until the middle of Sept. If you are big pool users you may want to chose CSR.

Hello

I visit Disney World every year. Have stayed at the Caribbean Beach once and Twice at the Coronado. Without a doubt the Coronado is a much nicer hotel. Nicer grounds, nicer pools, nice restaurant, and I love Pepper Market, better food and more choices. It also has a Gym and a Beauty Salon. The only drawback is the size of the resort - it is huge so there is alot of walking. But there is a small car that goes around the resort to take you to different places.

Have Fun...

Stay at CSR and take an hour to resort hop over to CBR to check it out.

I've stayed at both. CSR is nicer and if you are on the dining plan, the Pepper Market is awesome. Steak for lunch...hmmm.

Pool area is also much nicer at CSR.

I love CBR (but the main pool area is closed for a while). CBR reminds me of Nassau and I guess we just love that "island" feeling!!

I love both, but prefer CBR. The larger rooms, view of Wishes, vibrant colors and relaxing music made for a perfect trip on our last visit!

Wishes is in the MK, and CBR is nowhere near the MK. Perhaps you are thinking of Epcot's Illuminations?

To the OP: It depends on when you are going. If before September 2009, CSR because the CBR main pool will be closed. After September 2009, CBR all the way, especially if you have kids, since the main pool will now feature a pirate ship play area and a sand bottom. See the CBR FAQ page for the pics.

Am I mistaken in thinking that the CBR is actually a larger resort than CSR? Or is the size just a drawback in either? Not that it makes any difference to me, I'm just curious.

CBR surrounds a 45 acre lake and has more rooms, CSR surrounds a 15 acre lake.

CSR has more deluxe amenities like a fitness center, spa, salon, full menu room service, a business center which is free for anyone making travel arrangements or printing boarding passes.

I found I did much more walking at CSR than CBR. Once the new pool is done at CBR I am sure many more families will want to stay there.

I would choose CSR. The bus system is very good, the grounds are spectacular and the pool is very nice. My DD loved the slide and arcade. Just make sure your kids room key does not have charge privileges. CBR seem much large to me, especially if you do not get a preferred location.

CBR will be the next MOD we will try.
We've tryed all the rest and found all of them to be very nice.
I'm sure CBR will be just as nice.

The pirate ship does look nice but the overall footprint of the pool area seems to be about the same size as before and the slide doesn't look very long.

We stayed at CBR in 2006 and LOVED IT!! We are hoping to stay again in 2009, and with the new pool area we probably will love it more. So my vote is for CBR!:thumbsup2

The pool will be finished in September 2008 or September 2009???

I have stayed at both and enjoyed both very much, really two perfect stays! That said, I preferred CBR. The room felt larger, it had two sinks (CSR is the only mod without the double sink) and while I do agree the main pool at CSR is awesome, the quiet pools at CBR are the best quiet pools I have found. Once CBR gets its pool completed, I think that will make it even more desireable.

I found watching Illuminations at CBR to be very nice, our view of that show was better at CBR than it was at Boardwalk which surprised me. Of course nothing can beat seeing this show in the park, but it is nice to have the option to at least see the high up fireworks of Epcot from your resort.

I also preferred Shutters over Maya Grill although Maya Grill was very good. And the Pepper Market is great on the DDP but the automatic 10% gratuity bugs me. Also, I like the way the food court is next to the main pool at CBR. CSR has Siesta's which has a limited menu great for lunch or a snack but its a long hike to the Pepper Market from the Dig Site.

Again, I love both resorts. There are just a few things about CBR that make it a few tally marks ahead of CSR for me.

I don't think you can make a wrong choice!
