We are looking at a November trip and I am torn between Coronado or Caribbean (would book preferred for either). I have a 9 and 6 year old boy. We've stayed at POP twice and POR - loved POP but found the Royal Rooms at POR to be a haul. Opinions on either of these moderates would be appreciated - especially kid-friendliness and bus service! THANKS!

We stayed at POP and CBR last visit. My kids really loved CBR. The pools were great, the activities they offer are also nice. All 3 of my children liked participating in the pool activities and getting free little balls and rubber duckies and such :) My just turned 5 year old Son LOVED the pirate ship area, the older girls enjoyed the larger pool and water slides. Resort was very clean, food court had lots of options. We were pleased with everything and wouldn't hesitate staying there again with the kids. Obviously you are smart to aim for a preferred room because both are spaced out resorts. We didn't have any issues with the shuttle though, and never waited any longer than 5-8 minutes for a bus to arrive. Always able to sit, we stayed in Martinique. Rooms have all been freshly refurbished and the theming is quite nice. That all being said.....Hubby and I are going down in October to celebrate our Anniversary and my bday, booked for CSR this time to try something new :) For me, I think CBR has a more kid friendly feel to it, but I'm only going by what I've read and have seen in photos! Honestly, I found the bus service much better at CBR as opposed to POP, but probably because it just wasn't as chaotic and you didn't have to deal with lines. Oh, and the beds were very comfy!!

Cannot go wrong with either resort. My kids love CSR, they do not want to stay anywhere else. The pool is awesome, kids love the waterslide, large jacuzzi. There is an arcade, playground, vollyball net all at the main pool. Very pretty resort especially at night.

We have stayed at CBR as well and liked it but not as much as CSR.

I stayed at CBR years ago and liked it and will be back there in December. My trips inbetween have been at CSR and I really liked it. I have never gotten preferred rooms because I actually enjoy the walking. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong in your choice because they are both nice though I give the edge to CSR. Maybe I'll change my mind after December, we'll see.

They both have great pools that are kid friendly and CBR was also just refurbished so that might be a factor.

Regardless of what the makeup/dynamics are of the family, we would always choose CSR....Actually would choose that over plenty of deluxes as well, not only the other mods. POR is the only other mod that is remotely close to CSR IMHO... Other than the bus system there.

For me the biggest negative at CBR is the number of bus stops. 7 stops is an awful lot of stopping and starting before you even head out to the parks. I found it annoying after a while.
