Coronado, Caribbean, or Pop?

We adore CSR. It's beautiful, fantastic bus service, the Pepper market is the best counter service on property (in or out of a park), wonderful pool, great housekeeping. Really, it's the best.

Yeah CSR, I am so so excited....Staying their for the first time, thanks to all the reports, this October 2007:cheer2: :cheer2:

Another vote for CSR. It's a beautiful resort & the pool is awesome!

Thank you everyone for your responses. I really appreciate all the input. :)

I'm leaning towards CSR - but that's likely to change about a thousand times before we have to make reservations. :P

While there may only be one of the 3 villages in a desert theme, you have to consider that you could find yourself placed there on check-in.

Love the pics you post of CSR, and also love the cabanas, but like the other poster, I really dislike the desert themed village. CRO could not guarantee that I would not be placed in that village on check-in. That made my decision to go with CBR very easy.

I don't know of many deserts that looks like this. Only one village has a desert theme out of the three.

Here is a link to see some nice pictures of the Ranchos section. It does have a different feel, but it isnt' like being out in the middle of a desert.

My choice would be CSR. According to your signature you are going Jan of next year you may want to keep in mind that there is a rumor that the main pool at CBR will be closed from January to April of next year for a rehab.

I would stay at CBR once the main pool is rehab and if I like it. I like that the rooms are bigger at CBR, the sink area makes the most sense out of all the moderates and I do love the theme. I just don't care for the main pool area and the pool is a major part of our vacation.

I've stayed at CSR and POP and like either depending:

If you are travelling with children "tween" and under -- POP:cheer2:

If you have no more than 2 adults in each room -- POP:cheer2:

If you are spending at least 75% of your time in the parks -- POP:cheer2:

If you are mostly adults and don't mind walking -- CSR:banana:

If you have more than 2 adults or all rooms will have 4 people -- CSR:banana:

If you are spending at least a few 1/2 days or full days at the resort -- CSR:banana:

FWIW, my kids MUCH prefer POP to CSR but if I were to go again on an extended trip of say 10 days or more and intended to hang at the resort a few of those days, I'd pick CSR. For shorter, park commando trips, we'll stay at POP. POP in 60 days!!!

For a real Disney feel, definitely the POP. This resort is very alive, colorful and themed wonderfully. I have never stayed at any other resort like it before. Only at Disney will you see giant Rubik cubes, computers and Sony walkman icons. The lake is beautiful and it offers a nice alternative to the liveliness of the resort. For a more peaceful stay, ask for a lake view room. We loved ours!

CBR left me underwhelmed. Way too big for us. The theming was beautiful and the resort felt very beachy...but too spread out.

As for CSR, well I plan on resort visiting during our next stay and those pictures made me curious enough to go and check it out. May even try the Maya Grill if they have availibility.

Good luck making up your mind (it's half the fun right?) Happy planning!

Have stayed at CBR and CSR and would highly recommend either of those over a value. The mods provide a more relaxing atmosphere in my opinion.

CSR hands down!!!
It is by far our favorite. We've stayed at all 3 that you mention... plus most of the other resorts..... value through deluxe. And CSR wins in all catagories!!:thumbsup2

forgot to add...... we've stayed in all 3 "villages" at CSR and all 3 are just fantastic. I like Casistas the best..... but we were very pleasantly surprised at Ranchos.... which is the more "desert" looking "village". We ended up loving it!!!
Cabanas was the most convinient for the pool and Pepper Market.... but looked too much like Caribbean Beach.... so our least favorite of the 3.

im sorry i have not stayed at these, but i pers. would like to stay at cbr. we went to visit cs and it was pretty, not much to the food area and i thought it was a longgggggggggg walk to the pool. it was a hike for me. i think though you guys will have alot of fun at any of them.

POP 2005, NEVER AGAIN!

I'M TRYING CSR THIS SEP AND CAN'T WAIT.

I actually do spend time at the resort more than the parks, i like to eat lunch or dinner, go to the pool, or just take a walk. Didn't have that good feeling at POP.

LOVE POP. CBR not so much. I'm staying at CSR this August/Sept and it looks beautiful! So for now between CBR and POP I would definately choose POP.... :cool1:
