Corkscrew in 1 bed

Is there a corkscrew in the 1 bed to open wine bottles

There was <b>not</b> one in the BCV 1-bed we were in last weekend.

We had to buy one and plan on keeping it in our suitcase from now on.

If you don't have one in the room call housekeeping and they'll be able to get one for you. I've been in some rooms that have them and others that don't. I'm guessing if someone has already called for one it ends up staying in the room.

I don't think there is a corkscrew in the bed, and I don't know if they even allow corkscrewing in their beds.


We always check the inventory as soon as we arrive to make sure everything is there that is supposed to be there. The units all have an inventory list pasted on the inside of one of the cabinets, if I remember correctly.

My sil found a salimander in her bed at VWL. She was so upset and jumping around. My DD, Hannah said "Auntie, this IS the Wilderness Lodge!!"
Out of the mouths of babes!
Come to find out, my dear sil had her backpack at the pool and the uninvited guest came in that way.

We've always found a corkscrew in the 1BR utensil drawer....

In our first 1 bedroom / studio at BCV we did not find one at all. In our second 1 bedoom / studio we found one in the studio but didn't find one in the 1 bedroom until about the 4th day, it was hiding in a cupboard I hadn't yet looked in. Housekeeping will be more than happy to bring one up if you don't have one!

Now I really feel like an idiot...I was half way through reading this thread and I was still wondering "Why on earth would they store a cork screw in the BED?????...and not the kitchen....."

We also purchased an extra corkscrew for our future trips. I know you can get one from mousekeeping, but after a year or so the tips would have paid for a new one!
