Okay, so I'm back from my Scrapbooking W/E Retreat and my brain is working.....

We did an Altered Clipboard using paper, paint, ribbons, chipboard, and modge podge. I loved it, what a cute idea! So, now I'm wondering...can you do the same thing to a corkboard? I have all these Disney Pins that I'd love to display on a corkboard in my computer room, but the corkboards are sooooooooooo boring. I don't think it would be an issue coving the frame, what I'm actually curious about is the actual cork. Anyone know if this would work?

What I've done for my dd's corkboard is use fabric and staple it to the corkboard. (In this case Barbie fabric) Just turn the edges under and staple along the sides. That would be cute with some Disney material to display your pins.

I've done the same thing. I use a little bit of quilt batting to poof it up a bit and then criss cross ribbons on it so I can tuck tickets, photos, papers as well.

They always cover the corkboards in school with paper...either stapled or tacked in the corners. Easy!

I know that I have painted BB at my school and they are very hard to stick tacks into. I supose it depends on how you want to attach anything to it. Pinning into the cork after painting will be very hard.

I'm not sure, but I would think you would have the same issue with Mod Podge as with the paint. It is stiff once it dries, so it would probably be difficult to stick the pins in. Maybe you could use a strong adhesive and just put it under the corners of paper.
