What do corkage fees average at signature restaurants? We're interested in bringing in a few of our own bottles.

Thanks!

I "think" I remember my good friends on the boards...ahhhh and nerdy minnie...paid $10 at Cal grill for a corkage fee. I am not 100% sure...hopefully they will se the thread and be able to give you a definitive answer!

$10 is pretty cheap!! Around here I don't think many restaurants get less than $15!!

Maybe I am wrong...lemme see if I can locate Ahhhhhh...like I said, I just somehow remember $10 but i am not sure!

whoo boy! that night was messy :3dglasses

I remember our server telling us he has to charge us a cork fee, but Im looking over the reciept now and I dont see a charge for it. I guess he must've liked us! :teeth:

oh one other thing. When we checked in downstairs for cali grill we explained how we brought a "special" bottle with us and would like it opened, but the hostess told us it wasn't allowed. We almost left the bottle dowstairs but we took it up with us and were daring enough to ask the waiter and he said it was no problem and opened it immediately. Of course, we also ordered a nice bottle from their list...which is probably why he didn't seem to mind :goodvibes I have a feeling the resort lounges would be more willing to open bottles rather than the signature restaurants simply because they're interested in selling their own selection.

We were quoted $25 for Yachtsman. And since i spent not much more than that on the wine itself, we opted to have it later that night instead =)

Nerdy and ahhh....that would get me mad...cuz didn't you two call in advance and ask about a corkage fee? Sounds like they are unsure of their own policy. Glad it worked out for ya, though. I still would like a definitive answer, though, so I can schlep my bottles of Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill all over WDW! LOL! JK, of course.

At the restaurant where I work (teacher by day, fine dining server by night!) we waive the corkage if you buy a bottle off our list....

Twenty-five dollars seems a bit high. Maybe we'll just drink a couple of whatever they offer by the glass and enjoy the good stuff on our balcony...

I was charged $25 on Grand One to open a bottle of wine I took with me
