How is this place? I want to take my kids here but have heard very mixed reviews. Is it worth the $$ for the atmosphere and food?

You'll get positive and negative opinions on any restaurant....

My suggestion is: if the menu appeals to you, give it a try. Everyone's taste is different, so don't go by what other people say!

Enjoy,

Bob

I wasn't impressed. I know others who love it & wouldn't think of missing it. IMO it's way overrated & expensive for what you get.

We liked the food. Loved the aquarium. The LUNCH prices are reasonable. I would not pay their dinner prices.

We go every time we're there--the kids request it, and we really like the food. DSs like to find all the fish--they give them an identification chart. You don't get huge portions--but definitely enough. I don't think is any more expensive than the other TS restaurants in EPCOT.

The best advice I can give you is to check out the menus at www.allearsnet.com . They list all the meals and the prices.

Bob P gives good advice. We took our grandkids (4, 8), sat next to the aquarium and had a great lunch. It was nice to be out of the *action* in a nice calm place. Our server was wonderful.

We had a very good lobster dinner. Our 12 yr old had a hard time finding something that he wanted to eat. He ordered the kid's pizza and did not like it. He ate rolls and butter. The restaurant is somewhat expensive, desserts are good, but very noisy. We enjoyed our dinner (our son didn't). The dessert I had was a Chocolate Reef. My husband had the Chocolate Wave. The reef was very good.

Coral Reef is a nice place to eat. Everyone should try it once. We were there a few weeks ago and had a good lunch. I had the Chef Recommendation - I chose the Lobster soup which was probably the best thing I ate the whole trip. Then I had the catch of the day, pan seared trout but if I had it to do over I would chose the chicken salad on homemade bread. From the children's menu DGD had the grilled chicken breast and mashed potatoes - which she said were the best EVER and the girl knows her mashed potatoes.
