Coral Reef

Oh no, Lisa F. What a terrible Yak & Yeti experience. So sorry that happened to you. And don't feel old, I was a teenager in the 80's. I, too, have eyed those tuna nachos on the Yak N Yeti menu; but husband doesn't really care for that place and they don't except TIW...so he's even less inclined. They need to put the nachos on the outside counter service menu.

That was like 7 years ago but the feeling has stuck with me (I don't believe there were tuna nachos at the time, lol). The chef was very grumpy at having to explain what was dairy free (most of it but dairy proteins can sometimes sneak in even if it's not a dairy based dish) so once I got sick I was pretty inclined to think it was poison, lol. I'm guessing it's different staff and I don't think the tuna nachos were an option. your husband not caring for it is the first person I've seen say that, so I won't feel so bad about missing it. Traveling solo with my 8 year old, he is super duper excited for fish tank but when i asked him about yak and yeti he was just kind of like "why would we want to go there? do they have real yetis?" lol
Tusker house and flame tree are on the list, might try tiffin iwth Rol Package if they have a good menu. if not, TH it is :)

Our kids absolutely love it and it's one of my husband's favorites, so we usually go every year. The kids are very entertained by the tanks. I find the food to be pretty good and the setting is beautiful.

We went once. Food was good. Service was a little slow but not exceedingly so. Noise level is an issue - because the primary viewing wall is glass, all the sound of the restaurant including that coming from the kitchen is reflected back into the seating area. It can get toward sensory overload if you or your kids are sensitive to that. Otherwise, definitely worth trying at least once.

Yeah, no tuna nachos back then. I think I only remember seeing them last season???? My tall, but very thin husband, who I swear exists on what I call "5 & 5"...that is, 5 hours of sleep and 500 calories a day, loves Flame Tree though. Sometimes I truly think his appetite is influenced at Disney on the sole criteria of if the establishment takes TIW or not o_O. Kidding (kind of). My girls for sure liked watching the fish in the tank at Coral Reef, and especially the large turtle that likes to rest in the lower left corner. I scoped out Trip Advisor today and found a delectable-looking picture of the Pan Seared Salmon. Thinking that's what I'm going with this time. That, along with maybe the calamari app and a nice Riesling, trusting all that is still on the menu in September.

We've been twice. The first time in 2012 was better than last year, but it was still good. It's my husband's favorite, but we all enjoyed it both times.

We eat at Coral Reef on every trip and love it. For the best experience, IMO, request tankside seating when you arrive. It might take a little bit longer to get seated, but it's worth it. We usually make our ADRs for around 5:00, so the wait for us is minimal

CR's get a lot of great options, and the best desserts we've had on property.
