How is the coral reef restaurant at the living seas. it looks beautiful. we are going with six kids and four adults. should we go or should we skip it. also i remember hearing that it was to meals on the meal plan. is this true, and if it is is it worth two.

I would love to know how it is too. We currently have a ps there for our Sept. trip, but I don't know if I'll keep it or not... :confused3

We are going in October. there are 9 of us and we have been told due to the # of us we will be at 2 tables. i asked why they couldn't move 2 together and was told they are bolted to the floor. so if you are wanting to eat together it might not be the place for you. i was told we would be seated as close together as possible. but there were no guarantees.

That's right - the lay out doesn't really allow for them to move tables around. How old are the kids? When we went in March, there was a large group with four adults and (I think) five kids. They sat in adjoining, but different, booths. The kids alls seemed to be about 7 and up, excpet for the one 4 year old who went between the two booths (which was not a problem for anyone). Regardless of how many tables, it should count as one TS on the DDP.

The food was good, and I don't eat seafood. I had (I believe) the prime rib which was very good. I'd recommend it to anyone.

The Coral Reef atmosphere is amazing with children. The divers feeding the fish put on an amazing show for those of you eating your dinners!

We were there in 2004 and loved it however I have read alot of negative reviews as of late.

I think you should try it for yourself....then let us know when you get back!!!

Ok thanks everyone. I didnt know that we would have to sit seperatly that might be a problem. Also good news that it only counts as one meal. It sounds great and I really hope we get a chance to check it out.

We ate there this past week and I wish we would have skipped it! I thought it would be great for the kids to see the fish (3 & 8 yrs old) but unless you happen to get a table right up close to the tank the kids won't like it. Also I don't know if it was just our waiter but the place was a bit too stuffy for us. I had the grilled NY strip and it was terrible! I thought maybe it was just my steak so I tasted my sons (he had the same) but his was terrible too! My DH had the Diver's special and he did not like the Lobster Soup at all. We had to remind the waiter what he ordered because he didn't want to bring him the cheese cake he tried to get him to order a different dessert, don't ask me why. This is one place I will not be going to again.
