I will check out the menus at wdwig.com, but I was wondering what your experiences have been....

While the experience can be wonderful if you get a seat next to the tank. The food is expensive and limited, even more so on the childrens menu.

WE have 6 kids & ate there last Thanksgiving, the kids loved it.

Older 2 DD's (16,14) had fish of some type, younger kids (4,6,9, 11) had chicken fingers I believe.

Even if you are not right next to the tank, every seat has a good view. Wathing the fish...especially the few sharks, was my 3 boys favorite past time!

They also have great desserts for the kids, peanut butter playdooh...and Sandy Beach I seem to remember being a hit.

It is expensive, but it was our "Thanksgiving dinner".

My kids loved it and were so mesmerized by the tank...that I would pay any amount of money if it meant "Not having food flying across the table". Sure it is not cheap, but the quality of the food is very good! The kids were happy with their food. They were ages 8, 7 and 1 when we last ate there!

:bounce: I had my son's birthday there. They brought out a cake and sang Happy Birthday. It was great...

We took our 4yo in Oct. We arrived for one of the first dinner seatings (4:30) and requested an aquarium side table. They give you a coloring page and a guide to the types of critters swimming in the tank. Our DD loved trying to find each one and checking it off her sheet. The kids menu has a chicken breast entree that is served with mashed potatoes and green beans. While pricey at 8.00 I felt good that she was getting a solid meal (not fingers, burgers, fries oh my!) Great experience, pricey but very good food.

We ate there with 4 adults and 4 kids (aged 2,2,6,and 7). We were seated at the tables across from the tank (not RIGHT beisde it, but separated by thei aisle). Kids loved trying to find each type of fish, and we even got to see divers in the tank feeding the fish. The divers even waved -- kids thought that was cool. Kids liked the little clear plastic "dolphin" doohickey that hung on their cups, too.

That's the "good" stuff. The downside -- pizza -- ugh, NOT good at all. The pasta -- well, nothing to write home over, although there was certainly more than even 2 two yrs old together could eat. Chicken was deemed acceptable by 6 yr old, though it didn't appear to be anything exciting -- just chicken. And as for us adults -- well, they sort of botched my order (I ordered the tuna, and even ordered the wine paired with it... they sent me blackened catfish. Waiteed DID NOT BEND when I kindly told him it wasn't my plate -- perhaps it belonged to some other table? NOOOO, he insisted, it's yours, YOU ordered it! Hmmm. Fortunately -- I have a sense of humor and said, oh what the hey...catfish it is". It was good -- but I wanted that tuna. DH had mahimahi -- probably the best plate at table -- but he insisted it was NOT worth the price. His feelings -- he placed C.Reef at the "end" of his restaurant list for that vacation (we always "rate where we ate" at the end of our trips).

Perhaps lunch might not be as much of an expense, and still give the kids a look at the fishies...

My kids loved it last spring, then 4 and 18 months. They both had the pasta which didn't look that great to me, but they ate it. My entree was just okay. My DH really liked his. However, the Chocolate Wave was so delicious it more than made up for my entree! My son also loved the peanut butter playdough.

We had a 5:15 PS and got the last seat right next to the tank. The divers came out probably about 5:30 or a little after. Lots of fun, and we had an excellent server - very good with the kids!

We had a disappointing meal here with 2 children but it was about 1 year ago. We sat right up close to the tank which was spectacular but the food was so poor that had the ambience not been as great, I would have sent the whole meal back and left. I would say the food was on par with Fulton's but more expensive. We did have good fish at The Flying Fish and would try that again. Threehearts

When we went in '97 our kids were 3 and 8. They loved it. Especially looking at the fish.:) And, their menu looked better than ours at the time!:) My husband and I didn't like our meals, but the overall atmosphere was very nice.

We went 2 yrs ago w/ kids, DS and nephews and they loved it. We had great food and very good service. Watching the tank really kept the kids amused and we had a wonderful evening because of it. Like the previous poster mentioned, whatever keeps the food flying is worth the money to me. Seriously, we had a great experience there and would go back.
