If we are at Epcot on a weekday, in early January, do you think we can get seated as walkups at Coral Reef for lunch?

Joe HATES having a schedule, I pretty much have to keep ADR's secret if I make them, and then kind of steer him there! He's a lot happier winging it.

TIA,

Hi,

I'm not sure about lunch, but my friend has been trying to change her reservation for dinner, there has been nothing available at all that week.

I'd get an ADR and keep it a secret from Joe, ;) you can always cancel

I prefer winging it, too. But with busier parks, it just isn;t as easy as it used to be. We have our large meal of the day at lunch, and that helps, but I also make a few ADRs for our "must do" places.

If you just "aren't hungry" that day, you can always cancel, I usually cancel 1 or 2 ADRs each trip...but I do cancel at least a few hours ahead, so the time slot opens up for another party.

I think it's possible. I was surprised that I just got an ADR there for lunch less than a week out, real close to the time I was asking for.
ChuckS-it must be a Texas thing, I prefer my big meal at lunch time too!

I just made an early dinner reservation, 4:50 pm at Coral reef for the 11th. I also cancelled the 7:50pm I had for that night. Didn't want to cut it too close to Illuminations.

Your friend can probably jump on it if she's quick!

Thanks Steffiesunshine.
However we are doing a wishes cruise that night.
She has a 5pm ressie on the 8th, she just wanted something later.

Thanks anyway, maybe someone else here can get it:)

You might be lucky since January is supposed to be less crowded. But when we went first of August (also supposed to be a slow time) they were turning away walk-ups saying they were book solid for several days.

OK thanks guys. I went ahead and made an ADR. It's on a day I know we'll be in Epcot, and I'll just say, oh do you feel like eating at the Coral Reef? I made an ADR just in case, but if you don't want to go...

He'll definitely want to go, and he'll love it. He just hates it if I say "we have an ADR tomorrow at xyz time."

Personally I CAN'T SEE WHAT THE DIFFERERNCE IS. :rotfl2:
