Coral Reef versus Garden Grill?

Just the two of us (me and my boyfriend), for lunch. We're fairly quiet people. It's his first time to WDW, so I'm trying to think of things he will enjoy. He likes seafood but he's not wild about fusion or really odd combinations.

I haven't ever been to the Coral Reef, but I like the Living Seas a lot (and am so disappointed that you don't ride to along the reef floor anymore!). I used to love the Garden Grill, but that was years ago, before it became a family-style character meal. I haven't been to it since it changed.

Which do you think we would enjoy more?

You're not considering any of the restaurants in World Showcase? I've never eaten at CR & GG because to me, they're the least attractive of all the Epcot restaurants. I'm sure they're good, it's just I'd rather eat somewhere that is different than what I can get at home. JMHO

They are two totally different types of restaurants, Coral Reef is table service and geared to be higher end. The views are lovely but the same can be found on a quiet afternoon in the main part of the pavillion. Garden Grill is set up so the bring large dishes of food to the tables and characters come around and see you. I've enjoyed both, but it would depend what type of meal I was looking for if I had to pick between the two.
