On the Dis Unplugged Podcast the Coral Reef Resutaunt is regarded as a bad resturaunt. I want to know how other people feel about the resturaunt.

We have been there for lunch or dinner and have always had good food and service.

I have always heard this as well. But my dh had wonderful memories of it as a child. I think the memory is something about torturing his little brother with threatening to cut the Mickey head butter in half. Yeah....

Anyway, we went and we had a wonderful meal. Try it for yourself!

We also went against popular thinking and went to Chef Mickeys for dinner. Bad decision! Lol!

We've eaten here every year for the last 10 years. As with any restaurant anywhere some service was good some bad, also sometimes the food was great others not. However it is a cool place to eat with the aquarium being right there and the deserts are excellent.

Totally fine. Not the best, not the worst. I don't know, I've never had a table service meal at Disney that I would classify as bad or truly horrible. Some (much) better than others, but nothing repulsive.

Had lunch here on an adults only trip. We all thought the food and atmosphere were excellent.

With that being said.....There is a very limited menu and on my next trip with my daughter age 7 we will not be going.

We at at CR recently after a hiatus of a good 15-20 years. The reason we selected it for a lunch this trip was the novelty factor of the aquarium for our DGDs. Turns out it was a very nice lunch (but it was expensive!) I'm the only one in our party of 6 who would eat fish/seafood but everyone seemed pleased with their choices. Not sure if we'll be heading back there anytime soon because there are so many places for the little ones to experience. If you think your party would enjoy watching the sea life and tolerate dropping a pretty hefty coin for lunch I think it would be fine.

@MinecraftDisney to check menu prices you might try allears website.

We always eat there and have never had any complaints. I love the atmosphere there.

Never found this place to be worth the cost. There are so many other good restaurants in Epcot to pick from.

People rave about the view into the tank, but you can see the same view (for free) from inside the Living Seas pavilion.

We ate there a few years back. We liked the atmosphere, the food was ok (for Disney), the service that day was terrible. Now, the next day the service may have been terrific. I am a firm believer that it all depends on who is working that particular day. We almost cancelled a chef Mickey adr after reading the reviews on here. We were so glad we didn't, food was great for a buffet, service was great. When it comes to places to eat at WDW we have learned to disregard reviews and just give it a try.

The first time we ate there, it was not very good. HOWEVER, the second and third time we ate there, it was very good. We plan on going back again. I also really like the Jack Daniels & Bailey's Chocolate mousse for dessert.

I had one of my most favourite onsite Disney meals there. The MahiMahi with laughingbird shrimp and rice was what I had and it is a meal I still think about  Everyones tastes are different, but for me Coral Reef was a great choice.

Take care,
