Coral Reef Restaurant - Diver/menu - Discontinued for 2009

We have been requestred to not post her direct contact information on the DIS. While we cannot control what is out there in cyberspace, or hwat has been done in the past, we can and do ask that her direct contact information not be posted.

Thank you everyone for respecting that request:thumbsup2

(It sounds like the PP had written down Debi's email incorrectly and was looking for it AFTER being given the information from Debi directly. )

Okay, let's get back on topic....until and unless Debbi herself posts on here, anyone (DU and other TA's) cannot speak for her. And the part about she has to email you first or your email gets deleted, is absolutely not true. I got her email by calling wdw dining and guess what? She responded to me, it wasn't deleted and I wasn't asked how I got her email address or her phone number.

It is elitist to think that DU or anyone else speaks for someone else. Also, it is not your responsibility to black ball everyone who posts the phone number or email, it's the mod's jobs to edit or remove the post.

Can't everyone just enjoy the knowledge being shared amongst other Disney enthusiasts?:hippie:

well I JUST called her personal number to set up the menus, and she gave her personal e-mail address through disney and i sent her a e-mail and there was a automatic reply that gave her personal cell phone for emergencies, while i would not give it out..if it just gave me the number and e-mail i gess she is not all that worried about it.

Okay can someone post the number to Coral Reef here or is that prohibited too ? We are going the third week of Sept and I want to see if I can request a certain seat. I'm not really interested in a menu or diver. Thanks

Well everyone can relax... I'll take Debbi's email address to my grave! I misspelled her name in the email address, and when I tried to send the pictures last Friday I received a response of the email not going through (wrong email address). I immediately called Debbi's number that she gave to me and had to leave a message. I explained what had happened and never heard back. So, I called again and didn't hear back. :sad1: Maybe she was away! I asked on this board for someone to pm her email address to me for fear that my trip was coming up and I didn't want to miss out on this great anniversary surprise. Numerous people pm'd me and you know who you are. All I can say is THANK YOU!:flower3: Debbi emailed me that she received the pictures and to have a wonderful trip!:cloud9: I think it is great that they offer this service and would hate for anything to happen to it also. Thanks for listening to me ramble on, I'm just thrilled now!!!

We are going to WDW the first week of December with my parents. My parents ONLY are dining at CR and I think it would be a huge surprise for them to get a menu with pictures of their grandkids on it and also a diver!!

Do you think I still have time to call? What should I have the sign say? I was thinking "Happy Disney! Love Rae and Andy" or do you think I would have room to add my parents names or I mean the names my kids call them? Papa and DuhDuh (don't ask where duhduh came from!) I am just unsure how many words can be used!

I have just heard of this! We will be dining there on August 22..The family doesn't even know...Do you think it is too late to call? Maybe just have a sign Happy Anniversary!!! Lucky 13..something like that for my DD? and a bon voyage as we are cruising a few days later?

I called the CR about 2 weeks ago and left a message saying when I was going to be there & that I was interested in having a diver/menu. I still have not gotten a response. Is this normal? Should I call again? Is there a different number I should call versus the restaurant directly? TIA!! :bride:

It took me about a month to hear something back. It seems she's the only one that organizes this, so I'm sure she's very busy. I would call back again and leave your e-mail address. That's what I did and how I got a response. Good luck!

Your definetly still have time. I just got it set up last week, and we're leaving in 2 weeks.

can someone please give me Debbies info so i can contact her. I would love to do this for my dd 10th B-day Thanks:goodvibes

Once you have your ADR, call Debbi with it and she will give you her e-mail in order to send photos for menus. Good luck!

We were there for lunch on 8/12. We were right next to the aquarium, in the middle of the restaurant. DH was surprised to get his personalized menu!

Then, while we were deciding what to order (get the Mahi Mahi), the divers showed up and DH freaked! It was great. We didn't even see them swim up. They were tossing shells up like confetti and blowing bubbles like blowing out candles, then they started clapping and a bunch of people having lunch started clapping! They held up the Happy 45th Birthday sign so I could get pictures.

Oh, DH got a free chocolate mousse with a chocolate "happy birthday" strip on top. I got the molten lava cake. YUM!

Sounds like great fun! And you even got more than one diver!! We have a diver booked for our first night in September. Can't wait. I finally, just sent in the pictures for the menu today even though I reserved the diver months ago.

For those of you who have been seated right by the aquarium, has it been the far left table? I've only ever seen this done at that table, but maybe that's just a coincidence. Thanks!

No, were were near the middle slightly to the left as you faced the tank. There was another group that had a sign at the same time that was seated slightly right of center.

FYI you can now email WDW.Epcot.Coral.Reef.Restaurant@disney.com with your request. Include the following:

Name
Date
Time
Conf#
Occasion

I called the Coral Reef # and an automated message gave me this email for "personalized menus". I sent in my request and Debbi responded to me just hours later. I didn't even ask for a diver (I didn't want to be a pest, I just really wanted the menu!), and she booked a diver for me!

I have the diver and menu stuff set up with Debbie at Corral Reef for Sept. My computer got all messed up and I no longer have her e-mail to send pics. Can someone help me. PM me if you do not want to put it out on the boards. Thanks Connie
