I think it depends on what type of food you want. LeCellier is supposed to be REALLY good, so I made a reg. reservation here and am planning on Coral Reef for the CP package.
Good luck w/ your decision!
for us it would be coral reef, hand's down!
we have dined at both more than once and were sorely disappointed both times in lecellier... the service was mediocre at best and the food was good but not great...
at coral reef we truly felt special, were well-served, and the food was outstanding...
A lot of people are pretty hard on Coral Reef based on posts that I have read. We have ADRs for both Coral Reef and Le Cellier. Le Cellier was my pick. My eight year old son picked Coral Reef for his. I think that the atmosphere will be enough to please him. I also think that some people expect too much from Disney Restaurants. IMO you can't compare a Disney restaurant to a comparably priced restaurant outside of WDW. You are paying a premium because you are at WDW.
We're going to stick with World Showcase restaurants for the CP. Future World just seems like such a long walk after dinner, particularly if we end up being tight on time.

i was simply comparing two restaurants, both disney, both in the same park, both with similar menus and similar price points, ergo quite comparable imo... and lecellier does not make the grade and coral reef does! (as my dad would say "in spades!")

Sorry, what I was trying to say is that people can't expect a $30 meal at Disney Restaurant to be the same as a $30 meal outside of Disney. I think that some people are too hard on Disney Restaurants because they expect the quality of the meal to be the same as a comparably priced meal outside WDW. You are paying a premium because you are at WDW. I think that the Coral Reef is the victim of this kind of thinking. I just didn't want the originator of the post to get discouraged by some of the feedback that is left for the Coral Reef in other threads.
