Both are good. Garden Grille is going to have characters vs. Coral Reef and a cool aquarium.

If you already are doing some characters meals then I would vote for Coral Reef.

I agree. If you're doing other character meals (and you've done others in the past) try the Coral Reef. The kids should find the aquarium very cool! :thumbsup2

I would say Coral reef..my girls' love it there.
Whispering Canyon Cafe is a lot of fun!!

I love Garden Grill, Coral Reef is cool too. However, if you are going to get your fill of characters at the other meals give Coral Reef a try. We had good meals and really liked it.

My vote is also for the Coral Reef, if you were not doing other Character Meals I would say Garden Grill, but we LOVE Coral Reef! They even have a pretty nice kids menu!

Let us know what you decide!

I'd say Coral Reef as well. We did several character meals and enjoyed everything - but the kids still talk about the dinner at Coral Reef last month. Are you on the DDP? DH and I got King Crab Legs and they were served with part of the shell removed, so it did not require one ounce of work!!!

My DS is 4 and needs to keep busy during a long meal. The aquarium was perfect for us. There were divers in the tank going around to tables with signs for birthdays and the kids have already suggested that might be a good birthday gift nexy year! (Of course, we'll fly down for dinner one night so you can get your birthday greeting from the tank diver!)

I would go with the Coral Reef. The food at the Garden Grill is not so great. Unless it is all about the characters, then who cares about the food, as long as the kids are happy.

Enjoy your trip!

We like Coral Reef much better than Garden Grill. We didn't care much for the food at Garden Grill - thought it was average at best. The character interaction was pretty good at Garden Grill, so if you're only concerned about characters then you should be satisfied. We had an excellent meal at Coral Reef and really enjoyed the atmosphere with the aquarium. We're going back to Coral Reef this year, but are skipping Garden Grill.

I've never been to Coral Reef, so I'm just voting for not Garden Grill. The food, the service and the experience were all poor.

I have never been to Coral reef, but we did do the Garden Grill character lunch when we were in Disney about a month ago. It was a good time (not a great time) The one nice thing was the characters did spend alot of time with the kids. And the rotating of the restaurant was pretty cool too.

I've eaten at both and would go with Coral Reef. The food is great and we were lucky enough to see the fish being fed by the divers in the tank. The waitstaff was great fun and made it an enjoyable dinner with a little one in tow.

I booked the ADR for Garden Grill about a month ago. Very excited to go, seems like we'll have a blast. I've never been to the other one, so can't help you there.

We ate at coral reef w/ my daughter at 5. The restaurant is in several tiers. On the down side of the tiers there is a little wall to keep you up on the tier. She could not see over the little wall. She would have been way happier w/ a character meal.:confused3 :flower1:

We did both when DS was 5, and he loved Garden Grill so much we went back again on the same trip.

We did garden grill on our last trip and everyone loved it. We will definetely be going back.

Being Coral Reef is a signature dining restaurant, how many credits is taken from the DDP? 2 or 1?

I have never been to either but from what everybody has been saying I am defintely wanting to give it a try too!
