Coral Reef lunch or dinner?

Originally I planned for lunch at Coral Reef, thinking that lunch would be less expensive. I just took a closer look at the menus and while a few entrees are a few dollars more, for the most part the prices are comparable. Now I'm changing my mind about whether we chould go for dinner instead.

To be honest, the menu doesn't excite me that much. I selected the restaurant more for the atmosphere. I think my BF will love the aquarium. (Keeping my fingers crossed that we can get a seat by the tank.)

So I guess I'm wondering whether there's any differerence in the experience between lunch and dinner? I'm thinking maybe dinner would be quieter and more romantic with less kids at the restaurant? Or are there always kids because it's Disney?

I'm going there in about 10 days for lunch, I tried booking for dinner and it was all taken 3 months before our vacation. Have been there many times for dinner, never lunch. It is fairly quiet and not as many kids like a Chef Mickey dining experience. Food quality is good, the last few years we felt it has dropped quite a bit.

I've been to the resturaunt several times for both lunch and dinner, and I find lunch much quieter.

We've done both lunch and dinner on several occasions and honestly, this place is very noisy at anytime. We now book the earliest lunch time when they first open as it seems to be the best chance to get seated on time (this place is known for running behind on ADR times) and to not have it so packed with people. And no matter when you go or how late you book, this place will always have lots of children.

Also, sitting right up against the tank makes the viewing of the tank difficult. I do not think those are the best seats although they are fine.

We enjoy eating here, but dinner can be a zoo. They seem to always be running behind schedule for ADR times.

We just had dinner there on the 3th. We waited maybe 5-10 minutes past our ADR time for a table, no biggie. And yes there were kids there but I didn't see that it was any type of a problem as they were all eating as suppose to be and not running around. Yes people did get up and walk around for pictures, myself included, but no one seemed to mind. One guy even offered to move out of his seat so that I could get a better picture of the aquarium.

The food was great. I highly recommend the pork chop and chocolate wave. YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

Lunch at the Coral Reef is a tradition for us. I love it.

If you want a table by the window you can request it when you check in. Tell them you are willing to wait, also the booths on that level are really nice also. We usually have to wait a little longer but I think its worth it since it's all about the view.........
