anyone go here for lunch? how was it? whats the chances of a tank window if we had a late lunch PS?

We have lunch there every trip and have always had a tank window. I really enjoy the room, the service has always been good as had the food.

We've gone during lunch and gotten a tankside table. I think if you during off peak hours, you have a better chance of sitting by the tank. We grabbed the first possible PS and got there a little early. The food is OK, but the atmosphere is great, and it is definitely a cool experience to sit next to the tank!!

Going at lunch, and getting there a little earlier than your PS gives you a great chance of getting a tankside seat. We have eaten there on our past two trips ---loved it, are going back in 2006!! :earsgirl: :cool1:

It's on my list...I've never eaten there before, but I'm booking the latest lunch there for July. They have a lunch special, soup, entree, dessert, for $20.

On my honeymoon last year, hubby and I ate a 12:30 lunch there (w/ PS). It ROCKED!! I had mahi mahi and hubby had some sort of grilled shrimp (couldn't sample that one- shrimp gives me the trots!).

I had mentioned to the HOSTESS we were on our honeymoon. After we were seating, what seemed like EVERY waiter/waitress came by and congratulated us. At the end of our meal, the manager came by and chatted w/ us for a long time. While he was there, our server brought us out a special dessert. It was a chocolate champagne glass filled w/ chocolate mousse (which had the consistancy of caramel- DROOL!). On the side were strawberries to dip and some chocolate bark w/ congratulations on it.

We were floored!! Not only was it delicious, it was SOOOO sweet of them to do that!

The being said, we LOVE the Coral Reef and would gladly go back! :)

ETA: Before we got the dessert, we both remarked that we were plesantly full, not stuffed. We thought, "Cool, we still have room for a dessert in France." Obviously, we had a change in plans. I make this point because it is very easy to get overly-stuffed in WDW and this was one place where I ate the whole meal and wasn't exploding. Make sense??
