After getting alot of advice from the boards, I have decided to change my ADR from Hollywood and Vine w/ Fantasmic to Coral Reef for lunch. We have never eaten at Coral Reef and I would love some advice on the menu items for lunch. Also, we are going to use 2 CS at MGM, any suggestions?

Our new Sept. ADRs are:
Fri 21st - Wofgang Puck Cafe @ 5:30
Sat 22nd - Coral Reef @ 1:00 (we will be at epcot) Boma @ 8:30
Sun 23rd - We are using 2 CS at MGM (any suggestions?)
Mon 24th - Wispering Canyon Cafe @ 8:30
Tues 25th - Ohana @ 6:30

most people feel that the couter service at MGM is the worst of all the parks. I sort of agree with this on the basis of there not being a large assrtment of items to order. ABC commisary is fine and the seating is good. Also the food at the buildings across from Beauty and the Beast is fine(sorry, don't know the name):thumbsup2 Pizza planet is fine for a pizza and the kids think it's cool. Just wing it at MGM.

I did a review of our coral reef lunch last month. DH had the lobster soup, blackened catfish with grits. He said it was good but the portion appeared to be small, ds 17 had the strip steak medium served with cheesy potatoes and a small portion of broccolini. He ate all the steak, also had the soup, ds 15 had the soup, are you seeing a pattern here? And he hates all things fish, so he had the kids pizza with chicken and the build your own kids sundae. I had the lobster salad. A small portion but good. DH and I shared the citrus creme brule. We were not on the dining plan. We have also had at previous meals the mahi mahi, which was not the greatest, the sauce was just too overpowering and I had the vegetarian entree - vegetable strudel, way too many lentils and drowning in sauce.

We just ate at Coral Reef for lunch in April. DDIL and I had the strip steak, DS had the blackened catfish with grits, and I forget what DH had. The server warned DS that the catfish was spicy and may not be to his liking. However, he really liked it. My only complaint was that the chocolate wave has changed, very alcoholic taste to the cherries, and I'm not crazy about it anymore.

I had lunch there in March and loved the lobster salad. It is like a chicken salad only made with lobster meat instead. Very good.

Eat dinner there never lunch, but the dinner ther has been great.
